Alpha Protocol is one of the most underrated games of all time. I know we’ll most likely never see another one, but I’ve always wondered what a sequel would play like. I’ve never played a Spy/Rpg before and when I first played Alpha Protocol I was instantly hooked on it.
Did Alpha Protocol have problems? Of course, but it wasn’t a bad game. I think a sequel, or even a reboot, would be great. That would give the developer a chance to work on the gameplay and give us some more cool spy gadgets to use out in the field. Leveling up Micheal Thornton was great and Alpha Protocol had some pretty deep RPG elements.
The dialogue was excellent, and I love the different branches in the story and dialogue options. Obsidian did a really great job making this game and it’s a shame it never got a proper sequel.
There is still some love for Alpha Protocol, but unfortunately it’s not enough to warrant any real attention from Sega.
