Microsoft Wants To Make Xbox 360 Games Playable On The Xbox One

Why is it that when a new console comes out it can never play any of our old games? That’s one of the reasons why I switched to PC gaming to begin with. A fan asked Frank Savage if there are any plans to emulate 360 games on the Xbox One. Frank confirmed that Microsoft is interested in doing this but it might be difficult. Here is what Frank Savage had to say.

“There are, but we’re not done thinking them through yet, unfortunately,” Savage said. “It turns out to be hard to emulate the PowerPC stuff on the X86 stuff. So there’s nothing to announce, but I would love to see it myself.”

I think the fact that they’re actually discussing it is a good thing. I would love to play some old 360 titles on my Xbox One. Honestly I would love to see some Xbox 360 games remade for the Xbox One but either way works for me. The Xbox One doesn’t have a really big selection of games to choose from right now and porting some old 360 titles over would help it out a lot. I haven’t played my Xbox One in two weeks because of this. I hope Microsoft does indeed find a way to get Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One.
