Before all of you Prince of Persia fans jump for joy you might want to read this first. There is indeed a new Prince of Persia game coming out but it’s not what you think it is. It’s going to be similar to Rayman. That’s right I said Rayman. The prince’s body will be broken up into parts and the game will be in 2D. It’s going to be ran off of the same engine as Rayman, and Child of Light. I want to know what person thought it would be a good idea to remake Prince of Persia this way so I can bitch slap him/her.
Why would they do this to Prince of Persia? Just thinking about what this game will play like is giving me a headache. Why do this Ubisoft? Why? Do you want to separate Prince of Persia from Assassin’s Creed that badly that you’ll risk doing something this stupid.
I know I won’t be picking this game up when it hits stores. I grew up playing Prince of Persia and a lot of the mechanics that you see in Assassin’s Creed today were around back then. It’s a shame this franchise has been ignored for the last few years and this is the way that Ubisoft decides to bring it back? I guess I’ll just stick to playing the old classics until a real Prince of Persia game comes out and hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.
