Of Orcs And Men First Impressions

I’ve always wanted to play Of Orcs And Men. It puts a unique spin on an old story. Instead of the humans being oppressed by the orcs it’s the other way around. After the war most orcs are now slaves and work for the humans. The few remaining orcs that aren’t slaves are hiding away waiting for their chance to get revenge. The beginning of the game honestly made no damn sense at all. What made the orcs want to assassinate the king now? It felt rushed and honestly I don’t think the writers knew what the hell they were doing.

indexThe combat in Of Orcs And Men is good. It would turn most people away, but I actually like it. If you’ve played Game of Thrones than you’ll have no problem familiarizing yourself with the combat in this game. The voice acting so far is hit or miss. The only decent sounding characters are the two main characters and they even suck at times. I’m going to keep playing Of Orcs And Men simply because it does something different. I love playing as the orcs and goblins instead of the usual human, elf, and dwarf that everyone has gotten so used to throughout the years.

Hopefully the story picks up the pace and gets a little interesting. I hope so because this game does have potential and I don’t want to see it all wasted on a meaningless story. It should be noted that so far this game is extremely linear. That’s a little disappointing because of how much I really want to explore this world.

      1. with ya there…every so often I get a lust for a book and go mad on the daily commute but actually cant remember the last book I picked up…(mind English books in Argentina are SO ******* expensive!)

        sad…

      2. Books are expensive here too. The last book I brought was a Harry Potter one and it was 25 dollars. I just don’t have the time to read anymore.
