Top 5 Weekly Skyrim Mods

I’m sorry about the delay. I try to have my top 5 weekly Skyrim mods posted every Thursday morning, but I’ve had a pretty stressful day and honestly I forgot today was Thursday. This weeks edition is going to feature a bunch of brand new mods that haven’t been out for too long. I hope you enjoy them.

5. DovahBling Jewelry Replacer by testiger2 – http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53767/?

DovahBlingDovahBling replaces every mesh for gold and silver with new ones. Now every piece of jewelry that your Dova wears is unique and looks a lot better. This is a simple mod that makes quite a difference if you regularly wear necklaces and rings. I highly recommend giving this one a shot.

4. Warhammer Sorceress Robes by Betterbecausehttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53705/?

Warhammer Sorceress Before and After PicsThis mod adds an armor set from Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. I have personally never played that game, but this armor set looks really cool and my female mage in Skyrim looks more badass now than she ever has. If you like what you see above then go ahead and give this mod a shot. Remember to go back and endorse the mod.

3. Animated Dragon Wings by Antonhttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53271/?

Animated Dragon WingsAnimated dragon wings does exactly what it says. It gives your character a set of dragon wings that you can use to fly around Skyrim. This mod is addictive and really does add a new way to play Skyrim. I considered placing this mod at number one, but when I compared it to the other two it just couldn’t compete with them in my opinion. This mod also needs some work done. Right now the flying animations look like you’re swimming in the air and it’s a little distracting. Here is a video showing you exactly what this mod does.

2. Arissa – The Wandering Rogue by Chesko and Nikkitahttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53754/?

ArissaArissa is a new follower mod. She’s a thief, a pretty damn good one too, and she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty to get what she wants. This mod is excellent. The voice acting and the quality is great. This mod has the potential to compete with Vilja, which is my favorite follower mod at the moment. Most follower mods are a bit cheesy or are just plain ridiculous in my opinion. That’s why I don’t showcase many of them in my weekly mod articles. This mod is more like Vilja and Inigo in terms of quality and voice acting. I highly recommend this one and I will be writing a review on this mod when I have the time.

Here’s a video by Brodual with more details on the mod.

1. Celtic Music by SilentRiderhttp://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53689/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D53689&pUp=1

Celtic MusicInstead of writing about what this mod does why don’t you just listen to a few minutes of this video.

This mod makes Skyrim so much better. I actually sat down and listened to this whole video. It’s really, really good and some times while I’m walking around Skyrim I’ll just stop and listen to the rest of the song. The best part is that I don’t have to get rid of my Fantasy Music Overhaul. There is a patch that allows you to play both of them, but it does replace the vanilla Skyrim songs. Celtic Music is my Skyrim mod of the week.

Don’t forget to click on that Follow Us button for the latest sports, games, movies, and more. I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you did I’ll have more for you real soon.

  1. Thanks for keeping me up to date on this. Quick questions: Do you start a game over then add these to test? Or do you add them to an existing game? Also, do you remove previous mods, or do you just stack them? Most of these questions are behind the idea of “how do you find the time?” I stack all of mine, but just updating them all weekly to match the patches is a heck of a hassle.

    1. I usually make a new save to test them all out in unless it’s something like weapons or armor than I just stack them. For new textures like in my sexy edition you pretty much have to start a new game or you’ll corrupt your old one. I use LOOT to sort my mods and so far everything has been going great. I currently have about 175 mods activated in my game.
