Fable Anniversary First Impression

Fable Anniversary is the HD remake to the classic Fable game that released for the Original Xbox many years ago. As soon as I started playing the game I was immediately impressed with the overhaul that I saw in the game. Fable is much more beautiful than it’s ever been. The only problem that I have is with some of the character models.

FableThe main protagonist has a huge ass chin, but just about every npc in the game has been completely redone and they all look fantastic. The gameplay is the same that it was back on the Xbox. You can fight with your sword, bow, or with magic.

One thing I missed about Fable was all the spells that you had access to. As the Fable games progressed the magic system was butchered. We only had about 6 spells in Fable III.

I’m literally nostalgic about  being able to play Fable again and I can’t wait to see all the new content that was added in the game. I thought it was bullshit that I had to preorder the game just for the new weapons and armors, but I’m honestly glad that I did. Some of the armor sets looks really, really good.

Right now I’m just a little ahead of the Twinblade questline. I’m about to travel to the arena and kick Whisper’s ass. If I recall correctly there should be a sword in the stone somewhere in my area and some sort of temple. The temple of Avo I think.

If you’ve been on the fence about getting Fable again I would recommend you just go out and buy it already. It’s the exact same game from before, but it looks a lot better and it even has some new content so it’s well worth the asking and maybe even a little more.
