Deathtrap – Early Access Impression

Deathtrap is a tower defense game with some pretty strong action RPG elements. It’s currently in Early Access and the latest update added versus mode to the game. You can only choose from two characters at the start menu. A warrior or a mage. The rogue character is currently unavailable. In Deathtrap you can to lay traps around the map before each wave starts. You can only lay a limited amount of traps down at a time because you won’t have enough points to cover the entire map so make sure you spread them around on each side of the map.

Deathtrap_Mercenary_01I was impressed with how well Deathtrap played. If you’ve ever played The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing than you’ll be right at home with the combat. You just click on the enemy that you want to attack and you’ll attack them. As you kill enemies you’ll earn experience points. Once you level up you’ll be able to upgrade your character and your traps that you can use on the battlefield.

Deathtrap is a good game, but it’s only in early access right now and I would recommend waiting before purchasing this game because it doesn’t have enough content in it to justify purchasing it right now.

I would like to thank Neocore Games for sending me a key to Deathtrap.

For anyone that’s interested in playing Deathtrap I have a extra key for the game. Just leave a message below and I’ll randomly choose someone to give the key to.
