In this short video I share my opinions on game equality. I know not everyone will agree with me, but try to keep things civil.

  1. Anita likes to pick and choose to make her biased points. She would diss Golden Axe for having a scantily clad heroine whilst ignoring that the male hero is wearing just as little. Sadly developers are getting scared by this controversy. A few Japanese games I bought last year were censored because they featured girls flaunting too much skin.

    1. That’s exactly my point! Developers shouldn’t be scared to do anything, but they’re letting this sexism get to them. There will always be games that have very revealing females in them, but there are also games that have men that way too. Conan The Barbarian, Golden Axe, Diablo, and the Conan MMO are good examples. In the MMO you could get completely naked as any sex. Is that going too far when it’s possible for both genders to get naked and not just the female? No it isn’t.

  2. This was a very thought provoking video and I honestly agree with you. I don’t care if I see women half naked in games or if they’re weak and needs to be rescued. It’s a video game people. Games are meant to be fun, but feminist try and ruin it for everyone. My husband, Drakulus, got me into gaming and I’ve honestly never been insulted, threatened, or mistreated by anyone I’ve ever played with online.

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen to some people, but I’d be surprised if it happens as much as people say it does. Feminist make it sound like every female in every game is overly sexualized, and have no rights, don’t even get me started on how any sex can have rights in a video game.

There have been strong female protagonist in games since the 80’s. There are plenty of strong, weak, and in between female characters. I hate how people just pick and choose one’s to bitch about.

Sorry for the long response, but I did say it was very thought provoking :].

    1. Thanks babe and you’re absolutely correct about female protagonist being in games since the 80’s. Some of my all time favorite protagonist are females, but you know that already :].
