Madden 15 First Impression

I finally got my hands on Madden 15 and it was worth the wait. Madden looks better than it ever has and playing defense has never been more fun. The first thing you’ll undoubtedly notice are the graphics. This game looks really good. It’s not 2K type of good, but it’s best we’ve ever got out of a Madden game. The second thing you’ll probably notice are the camera angles. You can play this game from different camera angles to give it a more realistic feel.

Madden has always had really fast gameplay. It’s much faster than watching a real football game and sadly that’s still the case here, but the game is so much fun to play I didn’t really notice how fast I was getting down the field.

madden-15-video-gameI like how the game keeps track of your stats while you’re playing against the CPU or another human player. If I caught 5 passes with Jordy Nelson than the announcers will say how much I love throwing to him or how much of a threat he is and the defense needs to find a way to stop him.

Connected Franchise has also seen some improvements. You can now let your entire defense study gameplans for an upcoming game or have your QB study on how to read blitz’s or cover 2. You also have to keep your team’s confidence high so they’ll preform better on gameday. If your confidence is really low because you’re on a losing streak than your team won’t try as hard, but if you have high confidence than your team will play hard for you.

madden-ratings-brady1Luckily my QB’s confidence is maxed out right now and I managed to lead my team to a 13-3 season and we’re in the Playoffs and hopefully we’ll get to the Superbowl.

I haven’t messed around with all of the features yet, but I’m looking forward to playing some more Madden today and yelling at my screen about some bullshit penalty calls that the refs love to give my team.
