Playstation 4 VS Xbox One Games In 2015

I’m considering getting a PS4 later this month because there are a few games [ very few games] that I’m looking forward to playing, but I’m not sure if it would actually be worth it to purchase the console because of this. I decided to take some of the exclusives that I’m looking forward to and put them up against the Xbox One exclusives that I’m looking forward to help me make up my mind.

Playstation 4 List

The Order 188611b0e0-1418000026

The Order is my least looked forward to game of this year, but I’m willing to give it a shot if I do decide to buy a Playstation 4 later this month. The graphics are obviously beautiful, but the gameplay looks very stale and it’s full of QTE’s. This is one game that I’ll walk into with low expectations.

Starboundstarbound06_26962

Starbound is a really addictive game. Take everything you love about Terraria and add space ships and the ability to travel to other planets and you’ll end up with Starbound. I’ve never been so addicted to crafting random shit in my life. I know this technically isn’t a Playstation 4 exclusive since it’s been on the PC for years, but I would love to play this game with a controller in my hand and if it has splitscreen like the console versions of Terraria than this game would be a must buy for me.

Street Fighter Vb752cb-1417903561

I’m a huge fighting game fan. I grew up on them. I used to play at the arcade for hours when I was kid. Street Fighter V also really isn’t an exclusive because it’s also going to the PC, but I’ve always played this game with a controller and while you still can technically do that on the PC it just wouldn’t feel the same. This is one game that’s really high up on my most anticipated games of 2015.

Bloodborne6b6263-1418686256

Bloodborne is made from the guys that made the Soul series and it plays exactly like a Souls game, but it isn’t one… or is it? This game looks amazing and I really want to play it, but I’m not sure if I want to buy a Playstation 4 yet. I could buy the game and play at a relatives house to save some money, but that would be weird…

Xbox One Exclusives

Neverwinterneverwinter

Neverwinter is another game that isn’t really an exclusive because it’s already on the PC, but I’m counting it since the Playstation 4 isn’t getting it. I love this game and one thing I’ve always wanted to do was play it on my Xbox and now, well… soon anyway, I’ll be able to do just that. Hopefully the devs will do what Warframe allowed us to do and let us port over our PC characters. That would be really awesome.

Rise Of The Tomb RaiderRise_of_the_tomb_raider

Despite having a really stupid name I’m really looking forward it because I did enjoy the first Tomb Raider game. I’ve never been a fan of Tomb Raider. The Tomb Raider reboot made me want to play this series, but it did lack replayability for me. I still haven’t played it again yet, but I have high hopes for the sequel.

You can find the review here.

Crackdown crackdown-Xbox-one

Crackdown is another game I’m kind of not looking forward to. I thought the first two games were just okay at best, but I’d be willing to jump back into the game if they do a good enough job on the game. I’m not expecting Crackdown 3 to score very highly with me, but it should at least be a good distraction until something better comes out.

Phantom Dustphantomdust

This is one game I’ve been looking forward to for a really long time. I love the first Phantom Dust game on the original Xbox. It was unique and the way you got your power ups was really cool. The trailer really didn’t show much, but all of us Phantom Dust players already know how the game should play if you spent as much time with the original like I did.

Quantom Break96a6dc-1418341521

Instead of a Alan Wake 2 we get Quantom Break and I’m okay with that. Alan Wake is one of my all time favorite games, but this new IP from Remedy looks really good. I honestly can’t wait for this game to come out. Quantom Break is my most anticipated exclusive for either console.

There really isn’t much for either console. I’m not an Uncharted fan, and Fable has fallen so far I don’t bother to get excited whenever a new one is released. If I had to choose a console for the exclusives though it would be the Xbox One right now. I already own Starbound on the PC and Street Fighter V is also coming to PC while the only game that we know for sure that Xbox is sharing with the PC is Neverwinter.

Hopefully E3 will show us a lot more games that will be coming out later this year. That’s assuming I even bother to watch it this year.

    1. Same here. I’m not saying the Xbox One has a incredible selection of games, but I do own most of the exclusives that have come out for it. Killer Instinct being my favorite one.
