Phantasy Star Online 2 [SEA] Has Removed IP Block!

If you’ve been on the fence on whether or not to download and play the JP version of Phantasy Star Online 2 then you’re in for a treat. Sega has finally removed the IP block that prevented everyone from playing Phantasy Star Online 2 in English.

As my opening paragraph stated we can all download and play Phantasy Star Online 2 without having to go through the pain of downloading third party software that could potentially get you blocked from the JP version of Phantasy Star Online 2.

This news means two things to me.

1. Sega has finally gotten some sense and decided to let everyone play Phantasy Star Online 2, which is unlikely, but possible.

2. This version of Phantasy Star is pretty dead and in order to keep the game alive Sega decided to let us try it out so they can see how many people are still interested in their game.

I’m going to go with option 2, but I could be wrong. The question is will veteran PSO2 players from the JP version of the game be willing to start over from the beginning on this version of the game that doesn’t have anywhere near as much content as the JP version?

I’m willing to give it a shot, but I’ll most likely just stick to the JP version since I’ve been playing it for the last two years with little to no problems.
