Zombi [PC] First Impression

Zombi U is one of my all time favorite zombie games. I had to get it on PC to see if it’s as good as it was on the Wii U and so far I’m really impressed with it.

Zombi started me off in a mall filled with dozens of zombies trying to eat me. I had no weapons of any kind. The only thing I had was a flashlight, and my hands. I ran as quickly as I could through the horde of zombies while trying my best to avoid being grabbed because I knew if one of them got their hands on me I was done for. After I found myself a melee weapon I was still content on being as careful as I could be because I didn’t want to lose my survivor. My first hour of Zombi was filled with suspense.

ZombiU-Gameplay-4Around every corner were zombies and I knew they would love to have me for a snack. I survived more then a few close encounters. One of those encounters had me running from freaky static zombies that screamed for backup. I made it back to the manhole just in time because they were right on my ass.

Zombi is a suspenseful game that kept me on my toes the entire time I played and I honestly can’t wait to jump back in. I’m not as immersed as I was when I played it on the Wii U though. I miss using the Wii Pad to look through my inventory while keeping an eye on the screen or scanning my environments for some good loot. The PC version isn’t bad though. I can see myself putting some serious game time in it.

If you’ve never played Zombi I would recommend checking it out. It’s a bit expensive for such an old game, but it’s one of the best zombie games out there and the unique death system is something that should be experienced by every zombie fan.
