Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Could Feature Original Xbox Games

I remember talking to my friends about how awesome it would be to play some old Xbox classics again. The only thing stopping us, obviously, is the fact that we don’t feel like pulling out that big ass box and hunting down all the cords to play them again.

Phil Spencer didn’t confirm that original Xbox games would be backwards compatible, but he didn’t say no either. Right now they’re focusing on backwards compatibility with 360 games, but Microsoft hasn’t ruled out original Xbox games. I have a pretty big list of games that I wouldn’t mind jumping back into. I just recently purchased Jade Empire on GOG and I can’t wait to play it again.

Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic, Jade Empire, Morrowind, Dreamfall, and the old Battlefront games would be awesome to play with my Xbox One controller.

Microsoft is already doing some pretty great things with the Xbox One. If this happens that’ll make things even sweeter for Xbox fans. What do you think of this? Are you interested in being able to play original Xbox games on Xbox One?
