Resident Evil based Multiplayer Game, Umbrella Corps, Looks Terrible

Capcom has announced another game in the Resident Evil Universe, that’s not Resident Evil 7, and instead of building on the success of Revelations 2 we get a game that looks worst than Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps looks about as generic as a shooter can get. In the short trailer that I watched I saw your usual multiplayer run and gameplay with zombies thrown in. Nothing about the gameplay trailer looked good and you would think that Capcom would have learned this lesson by now right? The answer to that question is obviously no, but there’s more.

Apparently Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps will be a PS4, and PC exclusive. To be clear the name Resident Evil isn’t actually in the title, but it’s obviously a spin off of Resident Evil. After the failure of Operation Raccoon City you can’t blame Capcom for removing the Resident Evil name from this upcoming game, but is anyone even remotely excited for this?

I attached the gameplay trailer below if anyone is interested in watching it.

Umbrella Corps is set to be released early next year for $30.

      1. Now THAT, I want to forget. Bland colors, slow pacing, 10’s of the same enemy. The most boring horde mode ever.

The analog cover system reminds me of the leaning that the first F.E.A.R. made important, plus the timing of the melee made an impression on me, which was something else that the first F.E.A.R. emphasized.

      2. I think we all want to forget F.E.A.R. Online… what happened to that franchise anyway. I loved the first two games. The third one was good, but wasn’t scary when compared to the first two.
