Are We Getting A New Diablo III Expansion This Year?

Blizzard seems to be preparing something for their event at Blizzcon besides 2.4.

Diablo III has been out for quite a while now. It’s sold over 30 million copies worldwide and it’s only expansion, Reaper of Souls, is old. Diablo III players want more content in their game and I’m one of them. I can only keep playing the same old content for so long before I move on to brighter pastures.

Blizzard has been making some moves. They’ve hired a new art director which can only mean that they’re gearing up for Diablo IV or, and this is more likely, they’re working on the next big Diablo III expansion.

Things have been really quiet with them lately and it’s really hard to find out any kind of info on the subject, but rumors are flying around and some of them are quite believable. I really hope that a new expansion is announced at Blizzcon because that would be great. If it’s just about 2.4 I’ll probably take a really long break from Diablo III because I’m getting a little tired of repeating the same content over and over again. Seasons can only keep me invested for so long.

Give us what we Blizzard and we’ll shower you with money. Isn’t that what you guys want?

  1. That is very similar to my build. Instead of using all my pets though I summon treasure goblins that toss out legendary’s, and lunatics that like to explode. They one hit kill just about every boss in the game.

What platform do you guys play on?

  2. As someone who has put an absurd amount of time in to his Wizard, I’d love a new expansion for D3. I just can’t be bothered to hop on and run to same stuff over and over again, with my only motivation being to help friends gear up their alts in high torment events.

      1. My DH is more of a trapper. I lay down my turrets, I can place five of them, along with a bunch of mines and watch as everything around me dies. It’s a fun way to play imo.

      2. It’s been a while since we’ve played, but if I recall correctly she has the build with 5 turrets, the set bonus that summons all of her pets at once, and the bow or quiver that makes her elemental shot actually restore the resource instead of use it so she can blast off the powerful shot that explodes when it hits things.. or something lol. I really only play Wizard, just going by memory. Hopefully that makes sense?
