Titanfall Is Going Mobile…

Titanfall 2 is not happening right now, but something is and that’s a new mobile Titanfall game. Who thought of this?

Why is everyone jumping on mobile games now? I’ve said before that it’s a bad idea to take an established franchise from it’s home platform and put it on phones.

I’m not a mobile gamer at all. I only use my phone to make phone calls or listen to music. To be honest I’m not really interested in Titanfall 2. The first Titanfall game was a colossal disappointment with it’s failed attempt to give us a meaningful campaign mode, but I’m scratching my head on this decision.

I understand there’s money to be made, but how many of us will actually bother downloading a Titanfall game on our mobile device? I guess we’ll see soon enough. At least they’re not moving Titanfall to mobile devices permanently like the devs of Fantasy Life did…

  1. I’m a gamer. I love video games. But I just don’t see the attraction of video games on touch screens. I use my cell phone to send and receive emails/text and to read ebooks. I’ve tried mobile games and they are weak. If people enjoy them that’s great but I have yet to find one that I really like.

    1. There are a few, very few, mobile games that I honestly don’t mind playing. The point I was making with this post was established game series moving over to the mobile market. First it happened with Prof Layton, and Fantasy Life and now Titanfall.

The only difference is Titanfall isn’t exclusive to phones while the other two games are…

      1. I read a bit more about this and I understand now that this new Titanfall for mobile is set in the Titanfall universe and not a port of the game. I was wondering how the creators were going to get a first person style game to work well on a touch screen device.
Games on any platform is great I just don’t want developers to leave behind the keyboard/mouse and joystick.
