Yo Kai Watch Could Come To Nintendo Consoles

Level 5 has announced that they are interested in getting Yo Kai Watch to as many people as possible and they’re open to the idea of putting a Yo Kai Watch game on both the Wii U, and upcoming NX.

This is pretty big news because you don’t hear about many 3DS games making the jump to consoles. Pokemon is a really good example of a game that would sell like hotcakes on consoles, but we all know how that story goes.

Yo Kai Watch could become even bigger then what it is now if Level 5 decided to go that route. The only thing that scares me is that they were talking to Ubisoft about it. Please stay away from that terrible company. I don’t want to see a downgraded Yo Kai Watch on my Nintendo consoles.

Yo Kai Watch isn’t the only title that’s being considered for consoles. Level 5 has also talked about Fantasy Life, yes please!, and Professor Layton being candidates for a console appearance. Once Fantasy Life flops on phones I’m pretty sure we’ll be seeing that come back to either the 3DS or make it’s way over to the NX when it’s released.

This is exciting news because once one developer does something like this more will follow if it’s successful. I’ve always questioned why handheld games never risked going to consoles. Hopefully they’ll start to do that when the NX releases.
