Battalion 1944 Takes Shooters Back To WWII, But Is It Worth Backing?

Battalion 1944 is a new FPS game that has the goal of giving us an authentic WWII experience.

Battalion 1944 has been announced at the right time in my opinion. There hasn’t been a good WWII multiplayer shooter on consoles since Call of Duty World At War. On PC we have Red Orchestra, but that also came out quite a while ago.

People have been wanting a good WWII game for a long time and this game caters to those people. Since it’s a multiplayer only game I would have to say that it doesn’t hold my interest. Multiplayer only games never last me very long and I can always go back and play Wolfenstein if I need to play a good WWII FPS.

For those of you that are interested in Battalion you can back it on kickstarter here. This is a pretty ambitious game in my opinion and I hope that they can pull off everything that they’re promising. Battalion 1944 already has $83,687 out of it’s $142,577 goal. It’s safe to say that this game will see the light of day.

  1. I could see the value of another WWII shooter but like you I’d want a campaign as well. I rarely play CoD for the MP now and don’t mind waiting for a price drop on a game to play only the campaigns which are usually pretty short.
