I’m Not Interested In The Doom Beta

We have another multiplayer only beta to play… am I the only one that’s getting a little tired of them?

I’ve been looking forward to playing Doom since it was announced, but one part of the game I’ve never been interested in is the multiplayer. It seems like it was just added on as something else to do that’s not the single player campaign.

I’m not expecting Doom to be game of the year material or be as good as The New Order, but I would love to play as Doom Guy fighting the forces of hell again. This beta is nothing more then a team deathmatch that can literally be found in thousands of other games on Steam. The only difference is that it has a Doom skin.

Are you playing the Doom beta? Do you like it?

  1. I’m not interested in it either since all I’d want in a Doom Remake is a long and challenging but fun campaign. Even if i wanted a multiplayer game I’ve heard the beta has been getting a lot of negative reviews so I’d just play something else.

    1. Between Battleborn, and Doom I’m pretty worn out with multiplayer games right now. The only difference is I had a little bit of fun while I played Battleborn.

The Doom multiplayer just seems dull to me and I’m not surprised that it’s getting negative reviews because all of us old Doom fans just want exactly what you stated, “a long and challenging, but fun campaign.”

  2. Not a fan of multiplayer these days either, but I played it out of boredom, and “Hey, it’s DOOM”. Now, I am more bored. It is simply annoying playing a multiplayer where everyone is a bullet sponge. Also, rocket sponge…honestly it would be better to find some Quake 2 servers.
