Pokemon Sun/Moon Had A Awful Demo

It looks I won’t write anything good today. I have yet another negative impression on a game I had somewhat high hopes for.

If Pokemon hasn’t innovated or changed by now then it won’t ever change because what I saw in Sun/Moon today was exactly what I was expecting… another Pokemon game.

That might not be bad to your average Pokemon fan, but it is to me. I wanted to play as someone older than 10 years old and I wanted more innovation in this new Pokemon game and instead we got more of the same. The graphics are a lot better this time around, but the Pokemon, location, and main protagonist failed to impress me in the slightest.

I know I’ll still end up picking this game up, but I don’t think it’s a day one buy for me anymore since the demo we saw was so underwhelming. I thought the boring chants on Twitch was pretty amusing too because we all just want to see some Zelda in action. Honestly that’s the only reason why I even bothered to watch this show today, but I thought I would love the Sun/Moon demo, but I didn’t.

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I’m pretty tired of the way Pokemon plays these days. You start the game, catch Pokemon, win 8 badges, become Pokemon master and that’s it. It’s been that way for years and it’s not going to change at all.

Oh well… at least I got to see it in action and I kind of regret it. Will someone please make a Pokemon console game already.
