My New Dark Souls 3 Character

Since the DLC is right around the corner I decided to create a brand new character and prepare for it.

My first female sorcerer is a pure INT spec’d mage. I just reached the Catacombs and I’ve barely invested any points in anything other than my Intelligence.

I’m going through the game without a melee weapon. My only weapon is my staff and so far I haven’t had a super hard time, but it’s more of a challenge than what I’m used to. Soul Sword has been my best friend with this character. I’ve even beaten a few invaders in Farron Keep.

  1. I’ve tried different builds in Souls games, but I had the most fun in the original Dark Souls with my Pyromancer. Combustion was awesome. I’ll probably roll some sort of caster build when I eventually get around to DS3, or might just start with a STR/STA tank build to learn the ins and outs of the game first.

    1. The problem with trying to be a tank Dark Souls 3 is the lack of poise. You can get stun locked by a dagger and killed pretty easily. It’s one of the flaws of the game. In parts 1, and 2 wearing heavy armor was great. Speed is the key in DS3. That doesn’t mean I haven’t made some tanky characters that specialize in heavy armor. You just have to be more careful this time around.
