Hit or Miss – November

I meant to do this at the beginning of the month, but I forgot about it until I realized that I didn’t do a hit or miss series for this month. Here’s my late of edition of hit or miss!

November has seen some pretty big title releases so far. I’m going to cover just about all of them in today and continue with a part 2 tomorrow.

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare

It’s popular to hate on CoD these days, but I’ll admit that I’m really curious about this game. The campaign doesn’t look bad at all and multiplayer looks like a lot of fun. I’ve already found this game for $25 on Kinguin and I might take a leap of faith and purchase it today.

Verdict – Wait For Sale

Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1 takes us back to World War 1. It’s a beautiful game, but I’m not really interested in a World War shooter right now and I’m not a big Battlefield fan. I wouldn’t be against getting this one on sale too.

Verdict – Wait For Sale

Titanfall 2

You’ve got to feel bad for Titanfall 2 right now. It’s a great sequel to the weak first entry in the game, but it’s not getting a lot of love right now because EA decided to release next to the biggest FPS shooters in the industry right now. I think that if this game released back in April it would have sold better than it is right now. I don’t recommend buying this at full price unless you’re a multiplayer fanatic.

Verdict – Wait For Sale

Pokemon Sun/Moon

I’ve been patiently waiting to get my hands on these games for a really long time. The wait is finally over and I can already recommend going out, if you haven’t already, and buying one, or both, or them. It’s Pokemon so you should know what to expect by now.

Verdict – Hit

Dishonored 2

I didn’t like the first Dishonored game at all, but at least it was playable. I’ve read/seen doesn’t really impress me. It looks like more of the same that I didn’t like about the first game, but instead of getting one protagonist we got two this time around. This game is really, really buggy right now. Especially on PC and that’s enough for me to stay really far away from it.

Verdict – Miss

  1. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the campaigns for Titanfall 2, CoD: IW, and Battlefield 1. It’s been a great year for shooters. I agree though, wait for a sale if your only interest is the campaign. Or just rent them at a Red Box kiosk for about $3 a day. They’re all relatively short.

No Final Fantasy XV on the list? Haha. Ten more days!

    1. You know I’m not a FF fan and I did say that the other part of the list would be released today :).

FF15 doesn’t really appeal to me and since it’s not on PC I have zero interest in it.
