Senior Designer At Respawn Entertainment Laughs When Asked if Titanfall 2 Would Come to The Switch

One of the senior designers over a Respawn Entertainment laughed when asked if Titanfall 2 could release on the Nintendo Switch at some point.

Some times people should know when to keep their mouths shut and spin the company line when giving interviews because you never know if something will or won’t happen in the future. Muhammad Alavi went as far as insulting Nintendo owners by saying that Nintendo’s consoles are for kids, and third party developers are too busy working on other platforms to focus. When he was asked if Titanfall would come to the Switch he said this

“Fuck no! No, you’re not going to be able to fit Titanfall 2 on the Nintendo Switch. That’s the same Zelda from the Wii U?”

I understand that this guy might not be the biggest Nintendo fan out there, but he’s putting Respawn Entertainment in a bad position in my opinion. What he said was stupid, and immature and I would laugh really hard if EA told them to start porting Titanfall 2 for the Switch.

I really wouldn’t laugh if I were him because it’s not like Titanfall 2 sold that well on other platforms…

  1. Can understand some developers not wanting to put their games on lower spec systems BUT I bet whoever puts a decent shooter on the Switch will make a killing. It’d be a great system for it too. Maybe they’re just scared that Splatoon will kick their butts (likely). 😉

    1. Every FPS game that released last year kicked Titanfall’s butt in the sales department :). And that comment he made about Zelda being the same from the Wii U could be said about Titanfall 1 too.

  2. Not a fan of that reaction, especially considering Titanfall 2 didn’t sell as well as they had hoped I would think. I’d love it if EA ended up handing them a Switch project to work on in the near future!
