I think everyone loves to replay their favorite games some times. I know I do. I’ve been thinking about replaying 3 games in particular and decided to share them with everyone today.
The Witcher 3
I try to replay this game at least once a year. I didn’t do that last year even though I started my first file on PS4. Well… since I’m currently waiting for my dream PC to arrive in the mail I think I might go ahead and play this on my PS4. Then again… my PC version does have some quality of life mods on there that I can’t see myself playing without. It doesn’t really matter what platform I play this game on, even though I want to do something on my PS4 because I’ve been ignoring it for almost two months, because I know I’ll love it. I miss the world of The Witcher and there’s nothing quite like this game out there. The deep story and likable characters were almost unheard of in an open world game before The Witcher 3 came along.
This is currently at the top of my list of games that I want to replay. I’ve only completed this game a single time and I want more. The only reason why I haven’t replayed it yet is that I want to know what Persona 5 R is and if it’s releasing on the Switch or not. Having a game like this on the Switch would be perfect. I could take Persona 5 with me wherever I go while jamming to the awesome soundtrack! The characters in this game are amazing, the gameplay is awesome, and this game just oozes style. I know I never got around to reviewing this one, but I do plan on reviewing Persona 5 R. And… I already consider this one of the best games I’ve ever played so…
I wish I had gotten into this series sooner. I want to play the other Persona games, but I’m not willing to buy a PS Vita to do it. I’m hoping all of them eventually get remastered and release on the Switch because I like it more than my PS4. Persona 5 is really long, but the quality never dipped. I got to know everyone, got myself a girlfriend, and enjoyed this really long game. I didn’t think about playing any other game while I was playing this one and that’s rare for me. I usually juggle 2 or 3 games at the same time. I can’t wait to see what Persona 5 R is.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Contrary to what you would think I don’t hate Breath of the Wild. I just think it’s a bad Zelda game. It has the worst durability mechanic in gaming history, a bland story, simple gameplay, and little to do in its massive world. Yes, I could waste my time looking for Korok seeds and solving all of the bland puzzles, but… why? Despite all of that I want to play it again and I don’t really know why. It’s not to change my mind on the game or anything because I don’t think Breath of the Wild is a 10 like some people would have you believe. There is fun to be had in this game and I just want to play a Zelda game so I’ve might as well play the most recent one right? Every time I start playing this game I quit after an hour. I’m going to try and play through this game again, but I won’t bother doing any of the crap that I don’t like. I’ll only collect the Korok seeds that are in plain view, solve just enough puzzles to get the master sword and collect those memories for the true ending. To be fair the odds of me playing this game again are slim because I no longer own it and I doubt I’ll buy it again, but I’ve been thinking about it and that’s why its here. The two games above this one are far, far superior games that I would rather play, but Breath of the Wild has its moments. Nothing beats climbing to the top of a mountain and taking in the view with those horrible climbing mechanics and stamina system! Jokes aside, I do want to replay this game because, like I just wrote up there, it has its moments and those are moments that I wouldn’t mind having again. Now only if this game would go on sale…
And that’s it. Those are 3 games that I want to replay this year. Do you like replaying your favorite games? What are they?
