Aladdin Review

Spread the Word!

Disney doesn’t make movies like they used to. Back in the day just about every Disney Movie was made for families {not just for kids but for adults too.} This is one of my daughters favorite movies. Aladdin is a homeless young man with his bestfriend Abu {the monkey}. Together they go around town causing trouble for the town guards by stealing bread, and apples so they won’t starve.

This movie to this day makes me smile. Everything from the music to the voice acting is great. Jafar is one of the best villains of all time. I love everything about him. He doesn’t give a crap about anyone but himself, he lives to be Sultan and he’ll do anything to make sure that happens. After the events in the marketplace Aladdin met a girl named Jasmine and she just so happens to be a princess.

Aladdin is thrown into the dungeon and Jafar, disguised as an old beggar, tricks Aladdin into the Cave Of Wonders. My favorite part of the movie is when Genie {Robin Williams} makes his first appearance and sings one of the most awesome songs ever. He grants Aladdin three wishes and they begin their adventure together to help Aladdin win Jasmine’s heart.

Aladdin is ultimately a movie about love. A young homeless man falls in love with a princess and he knows that unless he, himself becomes a prince then he’ll never have a chance to be with her. Throw in some action, awesome songs, and an incredible villain and you have yourself one awesome movie.

Everyone’s favorite annoying bird Iago is full of funny moments that would have the entire family laughing their asses off. If I want my kids to settle down all I have to do is play this movie and they’ll gather around the tv and start laughing. I even get distracted with what i’m doing and start watching it too. This movie rekindles my childhood and has a special place in my heart. My final verdict for Aladdin is a 9/10.
