My October scare fest continues with the very first season of American Horror Story.
Lunaliah and I was randomly searching for a good horror show to watch and we came across American Horror Story. At first I thought it sounded pretty lame, but boy was I wrong. From the very first episode of this series I was hooked and I’ve been a hardcore fan ever since.
American Horror Story is one of those shows that doesn’t have a single weak season. I like all of them even though they’re completely different. I think that’s part of the reason why the show never feels the same to me.
Season 1 is about your classic haunted house, but it’s done so well I didn’t mind it. It’s actually pretty damn creepy and that opening theme was nightmare inducing. The cast of characters that were introduced are all likable and give A performances across the board. Season 1 threw a twist towards the end of the season that I never saw coming. Lets just say that is one haunted ass house with more ghost in it then there are in two seasons of Supernatural combined.
Jessica Lange plays my favorite character. She’s feisty, sexy, and really devious. Do not trust this woman in this show. She’ll kill you to have her way and smile at your corpse after you’re dead. She’s amazing and I loved everything about her.
American Horror Story is creepy, exciting, gruesome, sexy, disgusting, and scratched that horror itch that Lunaliah and I had. This show brought a little life back into the horror genre and it’s a refreshing change of pace from the usual bullshit that I’ve grown accustomed to watching.
If you’re looking for a show that’s literally different every season you should definitely check out American Horror Story. Season 1 is one of my personal favorite seasons of the show because of the classic haunted house setting and because I absolutely love ghost when they’re done right in the horror genre.
