Andrew Luck Suffers Lacerated Kidney And Torn Abdominal Muscle

Spread the Word!

Just when I was starting to think my Colts could turn around their season this happens…

The amount of punishment that I witnessed Andrew Luck take on Sunday night was inhuman. The Denver Broncos defense beat the crap out of Andrew all night long and he battled his way to a big W over the undefeated Broncos, but it came with a price.

Official sources say that Andrew will miss 2-6 weeks. That’s pretty much the rest of the season and we might not see Andrew until next season if we don’t make the playoffs.

I’m more concerned with Andrew’s health right now though. It would be great if Andrew Luck came back and led us to the playoffs, but not at the cost of his health. I would prefer that he missed the rest of the season if it meant getting him back at 100%. Having him healthy for the rest of his career is more important then finishing off the rest of this season in my opinion. The last thing I want to see is my Quarterback suffer a career ending injury because the coaching staff rushed him back on the field to save his job.

Andrew Luck put on a superhuman performance and got a big W for the Colts, but cost him a few weeks of suffering. A lacerated kidney can heal in about two weeks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Chuck Pagano let Andrew Luck rest up a bit before starting him again.

The division is still wide open for anyone to take it at this point and even without Andrew Luck I think we can still win a few more games. I don’t think we’ll make playoffs, but I’m hopeful.

yeah man I was watching this game and he really did take a pounding. It’s impressive his stamina. Really one of the better-built qb’s too, and I totally didn’t know he was out for a few weeks. I think he had a lacerated kidney going into that denver game and he actually had suffered rib injuries since week 4, so he’s been really playing incredibly given the circumstances. Will miss the guy if he has to go out for season.

He actually lacerated the kidney in the Denver game. Before that he had a injured shoulder, which is why most of his passes were too high because he literally hurting every time he threw the ball.

This season has not been good for Andrew Luck.

I’d rather have him out for the season if it means he comes back 100% for the next 15-20.
