The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing II – New Features

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II is right around corner. I am very excited to see what the finished product looks like. I really enjoyed the closed beta of the game and this morning I was just emailed some awesome looking new features.

The video below will tell you exactly what new features are available to us in the upcoming game.

Managing an army sounds really awesome and I hope that it’s done well here. I can see myself spending hours on that alone. The journal looks really nice and I know I’m gong to spend a lot of time reading it because I like to know who each character is. I can see my pet Chimera eating my enemies for me. I don’t think he’s ever going to go hungry working for me. Everything in the video looked really nice. I have nothing but positive feelings towards this game.

If you want to jump into The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II you can do so by purchasing a copy of the game right now and playing the closed beta until May 22, 2014.

Meridian: New World Enters Early Access Phase 2 On May 5th

I had a chance to interview Ede Tarsoly last month about his game, Meridian: New World. Meridian: New World is a RTS game that’s very similar to Star Craft. I’ll link my first impression of the game down below. Meridian: New World is about to enter it’s second phase of early access in a few days. To celebrate this event Ede Tarsoly himself will be showing off his skills at his own game while he hosts an AMA session [Ask me anything] . His live stream will be on http://twitch.tv/Elder_Games. This will happen on tomorrow at 5 p.m. CET / 4 p.m. GMT / 11 a.m. EST / 8 a.m. PST.

There is a host of new content being added into phase 2 of Meridian: New World.

– missions 4 and 5 of the campaign
– 14 new unlockable achievements
– a new unit (called the Heavy Trooper)
– a huge patch resulting from players feedback during Phase 1

Meridian: New World is becoming a very solid game. The only problems I have with the game is the camera angle and slow movement of the main character in the game. Meridian: New World is a fun game and if you’re a RTS fan than you’ll most likely enjoy it.

Dragon Age Inquisition New Classes, And Screenshots

Bioware has revealed some new information regarding the character classes in the upcoming Dragon Age Inquisition. You’ll have your basic Warrior, Mage, and Rogue classes, but as you advance in skill you’ll be able to specialize that class, like you could in it’s predecessors, to something else.

Warrior

Warrior
Battle-hardened and masters of close combat, warriors are pivotal to any group entering battle. As front-line fighters, they absorb the brunt of opponent attacks, steal enemy focus, and create an opening for deadly ranged assaults from other classes. While some warriors prefer visceral, sweeping damage, many are silverite-clad bulwarks, weathering any blows they don’t deflect with their shields.

Champion
Champions are defenders and protectors, and when a warrior trains in the champion’s tradition, he or she becomes unstoppable. Champions use their armor, weapon and awareness to shrug off incoming attacks while holding critical positions on the battlefield and protecting allies in the process.

Rogue

Mage
Those who can tap into the raw energy of the Fade and block the whispering temptations of demons are truly exceptional. When they turn that mental focus onto the field of war, they can be truly terrifying opponents. Rains of fire, walls of ice, or even the ability to heal allies make up a mage’s toolkit. Most employ considerable skills rendering foes not only weakened, but also vulnerable to physical attacks, setting up opportunities for their teammates to exploit.

Knight Enchanter
Among the Circles of Magi, only a few mages have the strength of will necessary to focus their energy inward. Wrapped in protective magics and wielding blades of arcane force, the Knight Enchanters are rare, but inspiring sights as they lead the charge into enemy ranks.

Rogue
Armed with bows, daggers, and any number of dirty tricks, the rogue’s primary focus is damage: tearing foes down one at a time with systematic efficiency. Rogues commonly use a mixture of stealth and mobility to reach positions of advantage, be it a sniper’s perch away from enemy blades or behind an unsuspecting mage. Deadly and resourceful, rogues can tip the balance of any strategic assault.

Artificer
Intricate mechanisms are the core of the artificer’s craft: Deadly traps; Distracting contraptions; Marvels of engineering turned to deadly purpose. If an artificer is standing at the far end of a seemingly innocuous stretch of the battlefield, you should find another path. If he or she is smiling? Best just to hope your affairs are in order.

Grave Coming To The Xbox One Next Year

Grave is a first person “surrealist survival horror” game that’s being developed by Broken Window Studios. Just recently Microsoft approved the company for it’s independent publishing program, ID@Xbox, and the desert themed game is set to be released on Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux next year. Grave’s kickstarter campaign has attracted $9,349 or it’s $30,000 goal, there is only 13 days left to go on the kickstarter.

You can get an Xbox One version of Grave if you backed the project for $25 or more.

Here is the official description of Grave right from the Kickstarter page.

“Grave is an open-world, surrealist survival horror experience where light is your only weapon in a constantly changing reality.”

It has been announced that Grave will have Oculus Rift support but it is not known if you’ll be able to use Oculus Rift on the Xbox One just yet. This might only be a PC exclusive feature. Broken Window Studios was asked if Grave could possibly come to the Playstation 4 or other consoles. Here is what they had to say.

“We can’t make any additional console announcements at this time, but we are actively pursuing additional consoles and will make announcements as we are able.”

Broken Window’s goal is to “scare the crap out of players, and have a dynamic changing world.”

It’s a great goal to have but it remains to be seen if this game will deliver on it’s promise.

Magic The Gathering Duels Of The Planeswalkers 2015 Announced

The ever so popular Magic The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalker game will be making it’s way to the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Kindle, iPad, and Android platforms this summer. The Duels of the Planeswalker series has provided us with a new digital copy every year since 2009. Magic 2015 will include the ability to build customized decks, a more robust deck builder, and premium booster packs.

This new Magic game will revolve around Garruk Wildspeaker. He has decided to make us his “prey”. Just between you and me I’ve always had a really hard time defeating him in duels for some reason. I don’t know why but he always has my number whenever I go up against him.

Here is the trailer.

Magic 2015 will be skipping the Playstation platforms this year for unknown reasons.

I’ve played every Duels of the Planeswalker game there is and I love them all. I can’t wait to see what this game will be like when some gameplay is revealed at PAX East.

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel Trailer

Here is a first look at the upcoming Borderlands The Pre- Sequel.

Wilheim is a playable character now. That actually makes a lot of sense since he was supposed to be one of Handsome Jack’s toughest soldiers. In addition to Wilheim we’ll be able to play as Nisha, The Lawbringer, Athena, The Gladiator, and finally Claptrap. I think it’s about damn time we can finally play as Claptrap. From what I’ve noticed from the trailer the graphics in this Pre-Sequel is the exact same as Borderlands 2. The environments on the moon are very nice looking and being able to turn your oxygen into a jet pack of sorts is pretty sweet.

I’m pretty excited just thinking about how much Lunaliah and I will have when this game comes out later this year. I think the character that interested me the most, besides Claptrap obviously, is Nisha. I love her character model and I’m curious to see what skills she’ll bring to the table. For the first time in Borderlands history we’ll be able to choose from two starting female characters and they both look awesome. Hopefully this will be a full Borderlands experience and doesn’t feel like a glorified expansion.

Borderlands The Pre- Sequel will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

The Forest Latest Trailer And News

I’ve been looking into a game called The Forest for about two weeks now and so far everything that I’ve seen tells me that this is going to be one awesome game. I have recently contacted the developers of the game and they’ve agreed to give us a exclusive interview.

Here is the latest trailer to The Forest.

This game looks intense! I can’t wait to bother the crap out of those mutants and make them chase me around. I love the survival mechanics that were implemented in the game. The fact that you have to eat to survive is very appealing to me.

Hopefully I can have that interview posted up tomorrow if not it’ll definitely be the day after.
