Instead of writing two separate reviews Lunaliah and I decided to co write this review together and give our scores at the end of it.

Curse of Chucky Drakulus:

Lunaliah and I just finished watching Curse Of Chucky together for the first time and it was pretty freaking awesome. Curse of Chucky’s biggest star is the return of Brad Dourif as Chucky. He really made the movie. Everyone else was average at best but that didn’t take away the satisfaction of seeing Chucky do what he does best and that’s kill people. One thing that really surprised me about this movie was how it tied in to the original Child’s Play movie. That part of the movie caught me completely by surprise and made the person he was trying to kill relevant in the movie. There were some pretty good kills in the movie and some pretty lame one’s too. The way Chucky killed the nanny was epic. The way he killed the father however was pretty lame in my opinion.

My favorite part of this movie was when he finally decided to come out and be “Chucky.”

Curse_Of_Chucky_Banner_1_7_8_13 He just started laughing and said,” you’ve fucking better be.” That part of the movie blew me away. From there it was just classic Child’s Play in my opinion.  The acting in this movie is what you would expect in a horror today. Unknown actors that are only there to get killed in a fancy way. The movie itself took a while for anything to happen. It was mostly just Chucky appearing in different position looking possessed as hell. About an hour in the movie is when things really start to get interesting but the fact that I still had to sit through almost an hour of nothing happening kind of took away from the experience. Overall I really enjoyed Chucky and I would watch it again. Brad Dourif did an excellent job at portraying Chucky and his laugh is just epic. The killing in the movie was really good except for one scene and the even though the movie had a wtf ending I still enjoyed it enough to want to go back and watch it again. My final verdict for Curse Of Chucky is a 7/10.

This movie should have ended about 15 minutes earlier then it did but it was still a great experience and Curse of Chucky has my recommendation.

ChuckyCurse of Chucky was a breath of fresh air for me personally. The last three Chucky movies were terrible and I honestly thought we had heard the last of this iconic character until Curse Of Chucky went straight to dvd. Usually straight to dvd horror movies are terrible but curse of Chucky was amazing. I loved almost everything about this movie. The slow build up throughout the movie was necessary to build up the moment that we were all waiting for and that’s to see Chucky kill people. This movie was filled with nail biting moments for me because i’m scared to death of Chucky but it was more then just that. When I thought he would strike and kill someone it didn’t happen and that’s what really got me because I was left wondering when it would happen.

2-curse-of-chucky-red-band  One thing I can say is I knew exactly what order everyone would die in. That was a little disappointing to me but it didn’t take away the experience of seeing Chucky kill them in his own messed up way. The moment that Chucky revealed himself was the best part of the movie. Everything was just perfect at that part and seeing him laugh sent a chill down my spine. In the end I think Curse of Chucky returned Chucky back to form and I can’t wait to see where they go from here. Curse of Chucky is definitely one of the best movies i’ve seen this year. Curse Of Chucky is a 9/10 from me.

I saw this the other day. 🙂 Not bad, better than that bride of or seed of crap that came out. It felt more old school but the build was slow. Long live chucky!

I agree 100%. This movie was great when compared to those other two terrible Chucky movies.

The only Chucky movie I have seen is “bride of” which I kinda liked, although I think I am in the minority there.
