Dragon’s Prophet is the latest MMO from Sony Online Entertainment. I wasn’t looking forward to trying this game out because Sony Online Entertainment doesn’t really make good MMO’s. They’re generic and boring. Dragon’s Prophet is somewhere in the middle. Dragon’s Prophet made a really good first impression with me with the character creator that it is. There are so many options for you to choose while you’re creating your creator and I appreciate that. There are more options on Dragon’s Prophet’s character creator then there is on just about ever other MMO out there including one’s that haven’t even come out yet.
The gameplay in Dragon’s Prophet is actually pretty good. You click the right mouse button to attack enemies and the left mouse button to chain your attacks together for some pretty sweet combos. If you can’t figure out a certain move you can learn all your available combos from the options menu which is great. It took me awhile to figure out the questing system in this game. There are no magic markers showing you where to go. If you look at the map you’ll see glowing markers on it. This means that your quest is somewhere in that area and you have to look around for a little bit.
Graphically Dragon’s Prophet is a beautiful game. Everything from the environment to the physics of your hair works beautifully and really brings the game to life. One thing I really like about this game is you can do cool stuff as soon as you start the game. I’m only a level 10 and I can ride on the back of dragons already. You can even fight side by side with your chosen dragon. It makes the game feel like Pokemon in a way.
I’m really enjoying Dragon’s Prophet so far and I can’t wait to jump back in the game and play it some more. Don’t forget to click on that Follow Us button for the latest news, reviews, first impressions, and more. I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you did i’ll have more for you real soon.
