ESO's First Gameplay Trailer of Morrowind Is Really Good

Spread the Word!

Zenimax has released the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming expansion to The Elder Scrolls Online.

I’m really excited about the chance to experience Morrowind again. The short trailer that I watched today showed off Seyda Neen in glorious HD. The entire trailer was one big nostalgia trip for me, but felt brand new at the same time. This isn’t the Morrowind that put the Elder Scrolls series on the map. This is something new that takes place in that same area 700 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls III.

I saw the new Warden class in action and I really want to create one now. We finally have a druid class in ESO and so far everything that I’ve seen has me really excited to try him/her out. The trailer, while short, showed off a lot of different locales that we’ll eventually get to visit. Even though this expansion is a bit on the pricey side I can’t see myself not buying it. I need more Morrowind in my life and I think we’re going to see a lot more of it before it’s release in June.

What do you think of the upcoming expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online? Are you getting it?

I’ve been wanting an HD remake of Morrowind for ages. I just could never get past ~30 hours, the combat always bored me to tears and the environments get so.. bleak.. about halfway through. It’s frustrating because I’ve logged enough time in the game to theoretically have beaten it!

It’s cool that they’re incorporating Morrowind into ESO, though. The trailer is bringing back all kinds of cool memories!

I’ve put a few hundred hours into Morrowind on the original Xbox. I want to go back to it on PC so I can mod it, but every time I do I end up playing Skyrim :).

I can’t wait to see how Morrowind looks in this new expansion.

I *loved* Morrowind to death and can’t wait to see what it was like 700 years prior to the game itself. The idea of a having a permanent bear pet, a summonable swarm of bugs, and all sorts of nature stuff sounds rad and I can’t wait to check out the Warden class trees. They seem to have straight up healing, a hybrid healer/support role, and perma-pet DPS down… all of which are appealing. I’ll probably make an Argonian for it.

The Warden looks like the most versatile class in the game so far. I can’t wait for Morrowind. As far race for my Warfen goes I’m leaning towards a Orc or Wood Elf :).
