Halloween [1978] Review

Spread the Word!

Happy Halloween everyone it’s time for a scary movie review!

micheal myers  On Halloween night an 8 year old boy named Micheal Myers stabbed his sister to death with a kitchen knife after she had sex with her boyfriend. He was locked in an institution and escaped 15 years later and returned back home to where it all started. Micheal begins to stalk Laurie Strode [Jamie Lee Curtis] and follows her everywhere she goes. Dr. Samuel Loomis [Donald Pleasence] knew Micheal would return one day and quietly searched for him alongside Sheriff Leigh Brackett [Charles Cyphers]. What follows is a path of destruction by Micheal Myers as he literally kills everyone between him and Laurie. Halloween is the king of slasher films. No slasher film to this day has done what Halloween has. Micheal Myers is an iconic character known by all horror movie fans.

index   The soundtrack in this movie is excellent. That iconic theme song that plays while Micheal is stalking and brutally murdering people sends chills down my spine every time I hear it. The soundtrack is what really makes the movie and I think that’s why i’m scared of Micheal Myers. Halloween has aged very well considering it came out decades ago. It’s still a very solid movie with good acting, and actual scares. Halloween has done what very few movies that came out back then can do and that’s stand the test of time. Most movies that you see as a child are really scary but when you watch them again as an adult it’s a completely different story. This didn’t happen with Halloween. This movie still scares the crap out of me. Halloween is the greatest series of horror movies ever made. All of them are classics and can be watched again and again. Halloween is a 10/10.

I actually watched Halloween for the first time last night. I liked it! Maybe not quite as much as you do, but it’s definitely a classic!

Definitely! I can only think of two bad Halloween movies. The sequel to Rob Zombies Halloween and the Halloween that had Busta Rhymes in it. Stay away from those two and you’ll be fine :]
