Hit or Miss – April

Spread the Word!

April looks like a pretty slow month for games and I don’t mind that since I’m still making my through Breath of The Wild, Andromeda, and Nier. Here’s part 1 to April’s hit or miss series.

Persona 5 (PS4/PS3)

Lets get the big name on the list out of the way first. Many people love the Persona series and I’ll admit that I’ve been really curious about it for about a year now. The only thing stopping me from getting into the series is I don’t own the consoles that the games release on, but Persona 5 is on my wishlist of games that I want to own on the PS4. I like the gameplay, and love the graphics.

Persona 5 releases tomorrow on the PS4. I won’t have a chance to play it until at least November :(.

Verdict – Hit!

Yooka Laylee (Xbox One/Ps4/PC)

I’ll be honest with you… this game looks like shit. I’m just not interested in it and have zero interest in adding it to my game collection.

Verdict – Miss!

Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition (Xbox One/Ps4/PC)

Another remaster of a game that not many people cared for in the first place? I’ll pass…

Verdict – Miss!

The Sexy Brutale (PS4/Xbox One/PC

This game sounds pretty interesting, but I’m not completely sold on it yet. It’s on my radar and that itself is a good thing. I’m undecided on this one.

Verdict – Undecided

Domina (PC)

This is another title that I’m pretty interested in. Domina is a gladiator simulator. It lets you train your gladiators to help them survive in the arena. It sounds really cool, but the only thing keeping me away from the game is the lack of a save feature. The developers intentionally left out a save feature because the game can, theoretically, be completed in two hours. I don’t care if the game could be completed in ten minutes let me save my damn game!

Verdict – Miss

Domina wraps up part 1 to my hit or miss series for April. I’ll have part 2 up soonish.

I got Persona 5 earlier today so I expect that to keep me occupied this month. The tricky part is making time for it because they keep changing my hours at work.

You can’t save in the Gladiator game? Ouch. I hate it when games restrict you to saving in certain places so I doubt I would be okay with Domina’s design choice.

That no save feature is the only thing keeping me from buying the game.

Let me know how you like Persona 5 :).
