Hit or Miss August Part 2

Spread the Word!

Here’s part 2 to my hit or miss for August!

This Is the Police 2 (PC/PS4/Xbox One/Switch)

I wasn’t a huge fan of first game, but the second one has my interest. This Is the Police 2 is a turn based game and if the story is as interesting as its predecessor then this should be a pretty great game. I’ve already added this to my massive wishlist on Steam.

Verdict – Hit!

Boobs Saga (PC)

I was browsing games to write about here and came across this. It’s about a naked woman trapped in a dungeon and you have to protect your boobs… or something like that. The trailer is horrible and if I want to see naked women I have Skyrim so…

Verdict – Miss!

Guacamelee 2 (PC/PS4)

I hated the first game and have no plans on checking out the second one. I’ll be busy playing Death’s Gambit.

Verdict – Miss

Total War Rome II: Rise Of the Republic (PC)

Total War Rome II is still getting DLC and I want it! I prefer the historical Total War games over the fantasy ones and I can see myself putting some hours into this one.

Verdict – Hit!

Deathgarden (PC)

This is a unique looking game. Deathgarden has a team of hunters going up against a team of runners. Hunters are heavily armored killers that are tasked with hunting down the runners before they can completed their objectives.

Verdict – Hit!

Shenmue 1 & 2 (PC/Xbox/PS4)

I’ve never been a fan of this series and don’t really care for the remasters, but I’m sure there are people looking forward to these games next month.

Verdict – Miss!

Graveyard Keeper (PC)

Graveyard Keeper is like Stardew Valley. The big difference is instead of you taking care of fluffy animals and your farm you’re tending to the dead and caring for your graveyard. It’s a really neat looking game that I can’t wait to play. I usually love these kinds of games. Right now PC is the only platform that it’s releasing on, but I’m sure it’ll probably move over to consoles too.

Verdict – Hit!

Phantom Doctrine (PC)

This game really intrigues me. It looks like something I would love and the tactical gameplay is right up my alley. The fact that this is an espionage thriller has me imagining a bunch of interesting stuff happening in the story. Once I found this game it moved up into my top 3 games that I want to buy next month.

Strange Brigade (PC/PS4/Xbox)

Strange Brigade is multiplayer zombie killer. Honestly this game doesn’t look very interesting, but I’m not completely against buying it. I’m a sucker for zombie games and I know this will probably make it to my Steam library one day during a summer sale or some shit like that.

The existence of Boobs Saga just proves they will make a game out of any premise. Hell, who am I kidding? They’ll make any form of media out of any premise. I might roll my self to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up Octopath Traveler. I’m in the midst of Final Fantasy VI right now, but that’s on a console and I find it’s so much easier to just pick up a handheld and play whenever I want.

Boobs Saga looks absolutely horrible lol. And you’re right about people making a game out of anything and everything. That’s not even the worst looking game on Steam. There are plenty of sexual games on there if you know where to look.

Octopath Traveler is so good. I like that it’s different, but feels old school at the same time.
