Hit Or Miss

Hit or Miss – June

Spread the Word!

It’s time for another edition of my monthly Hit or Miss series!

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr – PC, Xbox One, PS4

I’ve been in Bethesda heaven lately. I started playing Oblivion again, got my wife into Fallout 76, and I’m still knee deep in The Elder Scrolls Online. I already own Elsweyr and it’s great.

The Verdict – Hit!

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth – 3DS

I didn’t care much for the first Persona Q2 game, but I’m highly curious about this one. If I buy a game this month it’ll be this one.

The Verdict – Hit!

Trover Saves The Universe – PC

I had no idea what this game was when I added it to my list and I wish I would have never researched it. It looks absolutely terrible and I have no intention of ever buying it.

The Verdict – Miss!

Warhammer: Chaosbane – PC, Xbox One, PS4

This game is as average as they get and the sad part is the price that the developers are charging everyone for it. Do NOT buy this game. Just play Diablo, Path of Exile, or Grim Dawn. All of those are cheaper (path of exile is free) than this shit.

The Verdict – Miss!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night – PS4, Xbox One, PC, (June 18th) Switch (June 25th)

I can’t think of a single reason why we have to wait an extra week to get this game on the Switch. Why? I’ve been interested in this game for years now and it’s finally almost here. I just have to wait a little longer.

The Verdict – Hit!

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled – PS4, Xbox One, Switch

I can’t put into words how much I hate Crash Bandicoot. I always thought this series was overrated and just, plain stupid. This game… doesn’t look that bad. I’m not sure if I want it, but I know my kids will want it so I’ll most likely end up buying it anyway.

Verdict – Undecided!

Judgment – PS4

This game looks terrible. I’m sure fans of Yakuza will like it, but it’s not for me. The gameplay looked really bad and this is yet another PS4 exclusive that I don’t care about.

The Sinking City – PC, Xbox One, PS4

So much for games being cheaper on the Epic Game Store. The Sinking City has a triple-A price tag but doesn’t look or play like one. That being said I am interested in this game, but I have to wait until 2020 to play it and the odds of me staying interested for that long are slim to none.

The Verdict – Miss!

Super Mario Maker 2

Here’s another Nintendo game that I don’t care for one bit. I never cared about the original Mario Maker and I don’t plan on getting this one either. I don’t care if I can create my own stages or play other people’s creations. I would rather play a real Mario game. So that’s a miss from me.

The Verdict – Miss!

Octopath Traveler – PC

Octopath Traveler is good and you should buy it when it’s a little cheaper. As much as I liked this game I didn’t love it.

The Verdict – Wait For Sale!

God Wars The Complete Legend

I’ve never played this game but I’ve always been very curious about it. That being said I think I might want to own this game on the Switch. I mean… it’s 100+ hour game and I prefer to play SRPGs on a handheld anyway.

The Verdict – Miss! (on PC)

Contra Anniversary Collection – Switch, PC, Xbox One, PS4

The best Run and Gun game of all time is back. Of course, I’m buying it! The new Contra game looks like utter shit though.

The Verdict – Hit!

Collection of Mana – Switch

I want these games, but not for $40. That’s just too much to ask for really old games in my opinion.

The Verdict – Miss!
