Hit Or Miss – March

Spread the Word!

It’s time for another edition of my monthly Hit Or Miss series!

Half Life: Alyx

If I had a VR headset I would already own this game. I don’t and really, really wish this was just a regular game that I could play with my mouse and keyboard. Oh well… maybe one day.

Verdict – Miss!

Doom Eternal

I’m torn on Doom Eternal. I know I’ll have a blast playing it, but I also know games like this drop in price quickly on PC. I got the first Doom game for $12 on Steam and I’m willing to wait for a major price drop on this one too. The game itself looks really, really good, but I’m not willing to pay $60 for it when there’s other stuff I want releasing soon.

Verdict – Wait For Sale!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

This game… looks absolutely terrible. I’m not an Animal Crossing fan and watching this game in action did not convince me to become one. It’s annoying and looks like something I would give a 5/10 to.

Verdict – Miss!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX

One of my favorite Pokemon games of all time is the original Mystery Dungeon games on the DS. Mystery Dungeon DX is a remake of those games. It has a new art style and quality of life improvements that make the game more fun to play. I’m really enjoying this one and if you’re a fan of games in this genre I recommend it.

Verdict – Hit!

State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition

If it wasn’t for Game Pass I would never have tried this game. I like it, but it’s not a game I would recommend anyone rush out and buy. If you have Game Pass play it. If you’re thinking about buying it, don’t. There are much better games you spend your cash on than this one.

Verdict – Miss!

The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel III

Trails of Cold Steel is a good JRPG series and the third game is making its way to Steam really soon. I really enjoyed this game and I might double dip since I no longer own a PS4.

Verdict – Undecided!

Ori And The Will of The Wisp

The sequel to the popular Blind Forest game is here and I haven’t played it yet because I’m still playing the first game. I want to play them in order so I’m holding off on playing this for now. I’m super interested in it though and thanks to Game Pass I’ll have a chance to play it soon.

Verdict – Hit!

Bleeding Edge

This game… is terrible. The beta did nothing to sell me on it and even though it’s included with Game Pass I don’t want to waste my hard drive space on it. It’s absolutely terrible and will be dead on arrival in my opinion. It has nothing going for it.

Persona 5 Royal

If I still owned a PS4 this would be a day one buy for me. I loved Persona 5. It’s my favorite game on the PS4 alongside Bloodborne. It’s also one of the best games I’ve ever played in my life. That being said I’m not going to get another PS4 so I’m not going to buy this game unless it releases on the Switch.

Verdict -Miss!

Nioh 2

I feel like this game flew under the radar. Nioh 2 is a Playstation exclusive (for now) and I’m honestly not interested in it at all. The first game was okay and I remember reviewing it, but I never fell in love with it. I’ll wait for the inevitable PC release of this game and for it to drop to $10 before I buy it. It’s a hard pass from me right now though.

Verdict -Miss!

And that wraps up this month’s edition of Hit or Miss. What games are you interested in this month?
