Hit Or Miss

Hit Or Miss – May 2019

Spread the Word!

It’s a new month and you know what that means? It’s time for my month Hit or Miss series!

Yakuza Kiwami 2 (PC)

I’m not a Yakuza fan and I don’t plan on becoming one in this lifetime. This is a big miss for me.

Verdict – Miss!

Life is Strange 2: Episode 3 (PC, PS4, Xbox One)

Here’s another series that I care absolutely nothing about. It’s another big miss from me. If you love these kinds of games good for you.

Verdict – Miss

Rage 2 (PC, PS4, Xbox One)

This will be the first Bethesda game since the Switch has launched to not be on the Switch and Id has not given any definite answers on if it’ll ever be. If Wolfenstein 2 can run on the Switch I’m sure Rage 2 can as well. They might be waiting for the rumored stronger Switch reveal. If I do buy this game it won’t be on the Switch. I can’t play an FPS game with a controller. I’m not fully committed to this game yet so, for now, it’s a maybe.

Verdict – Undecided!

Team Sonic Racing (PC, Switch, PS4, Xbox One)

I’ve always thought the Sonic Racing games were much better than Mario Kart. My family is really looking forward to playing this one. It’s a day one buy for sure.

Verdict – Hit!

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered/ Liberation (Switch)

After playing Assassin’s Creed Origins I can’t go back to the way this series used to be. I never considered myself a hardcore fan of this series and I have no problem skipping this one. If I do get the itch I already own this game on PC.

Verdict – Miss!

Observation (PC, PS4)

This game… looks incredibly boring. It’s like a do nothing simulator and I dread those.

Verdict – Miss

Resident Evil, Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil 4 (Switch)

All of these games are really good. If you haven’t played them yet you can get them much cheaper on every other platform. Do not buy them for the Switch. They’re overpriced and Capcom is greedy.

Total War Three Kingdoms

This has the potential to be my game of the year. I LOVE the Total War Series (except Warhammer) and I’m really looking forward to sinking a few hundred hours into this game. It looks fantastic and it’s based on my favorite era in history. Who needs Dynasty Warriors Empires when you’ve got Total War Three Kingdoms right?

Verdict – Hit!

Lapis x Labyrinth XL Limited Edition (PS4, Switch)

I already own this game. I was provided a review copy from NIS America and I can’t say anything about it yet, but I will be able to give my official opinion on the game soon so keep an eye out for that. My verdict below might give you a hint of how I feel though.

Verdict – Hit!

Vambrace: Cold Souls (PC)

This is another game that I have a review copy of. I can’t go into details just yet, but I can give you a summary of the game. Vambrace: Cold Souls is like Darkest Dungeon and like Darkest Dungeon it can be brutal. If you love that game you’ll most likely like this one.

Verdict – Undecided!

And that wraps up this month’s edition of Hit or Miss. What are you looking forward to adding to your game collection this month?
