How To Get Away With Murder Season 2 is here and it continues where season 1 left off with the death of Rebecca and her killer was revealed in premiere.
The season 2 premiere started off a bit slow in my opinion. Everyone was still uptight, obviously, about Rebecca’s disappearance and whether or not she’ll go the cops. We, of course, know that won’t happen because she’s dead.
I expected season 2 to start off a little slow, but there were moments when I really wanted something interesting to happen and when it didn’t I rolled my eyes. I thought some scenes lasted too long, and I really don’t like how much time is wasted on Oliver and Connor’s relationship. I don’t Oliver and I was hoping that Connor would have dumped him by now, but that’s not going to happen because they’re living together now…
The big surprise wasn’t even the reveal of Rebecca’s killer. It was Annalise’s brief lesbian action with an ex girlfriend. I kind of saw it coming, but I was still surprised that they shared a kiss. I’m not sure if I like Annalise’s ex or not yet, but so far I have nothing negative to say about her and I like how she can get under Annalise’s skin.
There was a lot of drama to the build up of the big reveal and I liked how they kept the suspicion going. First we thought it was Wes, then we thought it was Laurel, but it wasn’t either of them. The killer was Bonnie and I honestly never saw that coming and reason she gave for killing Rebecca was golden in my opinion. I like her a lot more knowing she’s a killer than I ever did when she was making googly eyes at Annalise’s husband.
How To Get Away With Murder is off to a good start and I’m really curious to see what happens next because the end of the episode showed Annalise bleeding out from a gunshot wound. I’m pretty sure she’s not going to die because the show wouldn’t be the same without Viola Davis, but strange things do happen. That’s just me speculating because I really want to know what happens next.
Season 2 is looking pretty damn good so far and it’s just as suspenseful as season 1. Viola Davis, as usual, is fantastic and everyone else around her is good too. Everyone except Oliver anyway.
