First Impression Lets Talk About! Mass Effect PC 1

Lets Talk About Mass Effect Andromeda's Multiplayer!

Spread the Word!

I remember being addicted to Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer when it first released and I can see the same thing happening with Andromeda. The multiplayer in this game is really good.

Andromeda’s multiplayer is basically a horde mode. Four people team up and survive waves of enemies until extraction. During these matches you’ll have certain objectives to complete every three waves. These objectives range from simple hacking missions to eliminating certain enemies on the map. The fast paced gameplay of Andromeda makes this new multiplayer mode great. I can leap over enemies and crash down into them, activate my invisibility cloak and assassinate enemies, or just snipe them from across the stage. At first I thought the new gameplay would make multiplayer too easy, but it’s the opposite. It’s actually harder then it’s ever been. Maybe it’s because I’m really rusty, but I used to play on the gold difficulty with no problems. I can barely do bronze here.

Having a good team is the key to success in multiplayer. If one or two people aren’t very good you’ll probably end up losing the match or doing 90% of the work yourself. Even though I lost 4 out of the 6 matches I played yesterday I still really loved my experience. I can see myself spending many hours in this mode after I’m done with the single player campaign. I don’t think the character classes are as good as they were in Mass Effect 3, but they’re solid. Since all of the future dlc for multiplayer is free I have no doubt that it’s going to get much better in the future.

What do you think of Mass Effect Andromeda’s multiplayer? Have you tried it yet?

Sounds fun providing that it doesn’t affect the single player ending you get. Clearing waves of enemies is fun in games like Plants vs Zombies 2. I wish that Overwatch would implement a similar mode.
