I’ve been debating with myself on whether or not I wanted a PS Vita for years. Since you can no longer buy a new one finding one in good condition can be challenging. Especially if you order it online because you have no idea what some people consider good condition. The first game I bought from the PS store was Persona 4 Golden. I’ve heard nothing, but great things about this game and so far it’s living up to my incredibly high expectations.
I mentioned that finding a Vita in good condition could be hard to do online. I was lucky enough to find one in almost mint condition. It’s the glacier white one and it’s really sexy. Take a look
The only issue I have is someone must have had some sort of sticker on the back and peeled it off and left some residue from the sticker there. I plan on covering that up soon and there’s no damage whatsoever to the spot that the sticker was on. All of the buttons work, the control sticks don’t drift, and the d-pad is in excellent condition. I’m using a near new Vita and it came with 7 games! I did not know I was getting a bundle when I bought this thing because it was advertised as a single Vita on Amazon. It also came with a cheap case that’ll hold me over until my good one arrives in the mail.
The first game I bought for myself was highly recommended by my old pals on Unlikely Herocast Chuck and Bradley and I have to give them credit where it’s due. Persona 4 Golden is absolutely fantastic and I’m in love with it. It took a really long time to get started (a little over 3 hours), but I was never bored building up to getting my first Persona. The story is super interesting, the characters are awesome, and it’s like a good detective story being told.
My first Persona game was Persona 5. I went on to play 3 after that (I emulated it on PC) and now that I have a Vita I’m finally playing Persona 4 Golden. I don’t really have much to say, um… write, about it right now because I only have 3 hours of gameplay in it, but I’m already in love with it. So far the school stuff is mostly in the background, but I expect that to change soon.
This game has aged beautifully. The graphics are really nice and it plays incredibly well. It’s not as flashy as Persona 5 or brutal as Persona 3’s headshot, but I really dig the card mechanic. Atlus is always so creative with their Persona games. The music, so far, is absolutely incredible and I like how it isn’t overbearing. I don’t really have anything negative to say about this game right now. I’m only 3 hours in though and I expect that to change, but I’m hoping it doesn’t. Persona 4 Golden is living up to its reputation right now and I can’t wait for my Vita to finish charging so I can drop a few more hours into it today.
Have you ever played Persona 4? What did you think of it?
