My First 4 In February – Lets Get Started!

Spread the Word!

I’m participating in my first 4 in February. I figured it would be a neat challenge and give me an excuse to complete some games in my backlog too.ย

Plenty of great bloggers are already naming what games they’re going to attempt to complete this month and I’m adding my name on the list too. Cheap Boss Attack has managed to slay three of his four games already. That dude is on a roll right now. I need to up my game!

Without further ado here are the 4 games I plan on completing this month!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I completed this game a few days ago. I put about 65 hours in it and rage quit because my game froze on the end credits. It still counts as a win in my book! Xenoblade 2 was fun and I enjoyed the majority of it. If you’re curious about what I think of this game click here for my review.

Oxenfree

This game was amazing from beginning to end. It’s fucking creepy as hell too. It’s like a good horror film in video game form. The characters are well written, the acting is excellent, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I even fucked up a few key choices and had to live with the consequences. I don’t know why I waited so long to finally play this game, but it’s gotten me in the mood for more story driven games and you’re probably going to see quite a few of them pop up on here in the near future. I plan on writing a review for this one. It deserves one and I’ve already completed two of the four games on my list!

Agents of Mayhem

I gave up on Agents of Mayhem last year. It’s not a terrible game, but it kind of got lost in a flood of good games that I played last year. I stopped looking at this game as Saints Rows and started looking it at as a spinoff and I enjoyed it a lot more. I love the creativity that went into all of the playable characters. All of the characters that I’ve unlocked so far are interesting and I want to learn more about them. The animated cutscenes are beautiful and the voice acting is good too. I’m really enjoying this one and hopefully, it stays strong all the way through.

Dynasty Warriors 9

I can’t wait for this game to release. I haven’t played Dynasty Warriors in a long time and I’ve been counting down the days for this one. I should be done with Agents of Mayhem before this game releases too. If I’m not I can’t guarantee that I’ll ever finish it because I’m putting everything on hold once this game drops.

What do you think of 4 in February? Are you participating in it?

This is a neat idea. I might try to join in on this. I did think WOW going for xenoblade along with three others for the month but sounds like you’ve already sunk the time into it.

I originally Xenoblade 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Dynasty Warriors 9 as my 4 games, but I don’t think I would be able to complete all of those lol. I went with two smaller games, one really large one, and I have no idea how large Dynasty Warriors 9 is going to be. You should totally do this btw ๐Ÿ™‚

Inquisition is the size of four games :). How far are you in it? Have you unlocked every character yet?

I’m 60+ hours in and I’m pretty sure I have everyone. They are all awesome!! ๐Ÿ˜€ I don’t think I’m too far into the story though. I get distracted easily and chase after every shiny thing I see on my map, haha. Oh and 3 dragons downed!!

Nice. Are you playing the base game or are you planning on getting through all the DLC too? Slaying three dragons is impressive. I love how my exploration was rewarded in that game. You’re making me want to play it again :). I remember my very first playthrough taking about 120 hours to complete because I (like you) wanted to explore everything. Enjoy your game!

I don’t want to spoil things, but you might end up getting that DLC later on ๐Ÿ™‚

Oxenfree is fantastic! The story is engaging and the atmosphere kept me on my toes throughout. I loved the little quiz you have to do in the school. The only downside was that the characters seemed to not be all that worried about all the weird stuff happening most of the time!

I agree. Some times everyone was oddly cheerful about their situation. The game is fantastic though and I’m currently on my second playthrough and it’s different than the first. I don’t want to spoil anything if you only played it once :).

Donโ€™t worry, I know what youโ€™re talking about :-p. Iโ€™ll keep it to myself too for the sake of anyone reading this.

Oxenfree made my top five the year I played it, which is saying a lot as I don’t usually like walking sims.

I usually don’t enjoy walking sims too. That’s why I’m so surprised that I enjoyed this game as much as I did :).

It was creepy. Some moments caught me completely by surprise and it had some really shocking moments too that I never thought would happen. It’s a very memorable game to me and it has me in the mood to try other games in the genre.
