Nintendo Upcoming Games Zelda 15

My Nintendo Switch Game/Wish List

Spread the Word!

I preordered a Nintendo Switch last night before I went to bed and I came up with a list of games that I want for it and I included my wishlist for games that I hope come to the console.

Games I’m Going To Buy

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Lets get this one out of the way. No game wowed me more then this one. The new trailer for Breath of the Wild was fantastic and it made me want the game that much more. It’s already my most anticipated game of 2017 and watching that trailer so many times made me want it that much more.

Super Mario Odyssey

I didn’t expect to fall in love with the Super Mario reveal, but I did. This game looks like the next Super Mario 64. The graphics are stunning, and gameplay looks fantastic. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I wasn’t expecting another Xenoblade Chronicles game so soon after X. I was really surprised when this game was revealed and I need to have it. It looks more linear than Xenoblade X, but as long as the story is good I don’t care. I need this game in my life.

Fire Emblem Warriors

A Dynasty Warriors inspired Fire Emblem game? If we can play as half of the classic Fire Emblem characters in this game it’s going to be a major hit. More Fire Emblem is never a bad thing.

Shin Megami Tensei

We didn’t see much of anything regarding this game, but it was announced and the fanboy in me screamed when I realized what I was watching. The Shin Megami Tensei games are fantastic and if this game really is being ran on Unreal Engine 4 I have no doubt that it’s going to look fantastic and have great gameplay too.

Dragon Quest X/XI

There are four Dragon Quest games coming to the Switch. Square Enix wasn’t joking when they said they were going to support this thing. I’m looking forward to both of these games and since the Switch is region free I’ll be able to play them when they release in Japan :).

Dragon Quest Heroes I&II

The action oriented Dragon Heroes games are also coming to the Nintendo Switch and I want both of them. I originally played the first game on PC, but these games are meant to be played with a controller and I would love to add these to my collection of games on my future Switch.

Project Octopath

Looks like a cool title we would get on the 3DS doesn’t it?

I wasn’t sure if I should place this on the list because I don’t really know much about it, but I’m actually pretty excited about it because it looks really old school. This one is also being developed by Square Enix by the way.

Games I’ll Get If They’re Priced Right

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition

I’m not dropping $60 on game that I already own the Wii U, but once this goes down to $30 I’ll definitely pick it up. More Mario Kart is never a bad thing.

Bomberman is back everyone. It came out of nowhere and it doesn’t look that bad. I’m willing to drop $20 on it, but can’t see myself going any higher then that. I think I can have some pretty crazy multiplayer matches on it too.

Has-Been Heroes

This game surprised me. I thought it was going to be pretty crappy, but I really liked what I saw today. The gameplay, rpg elements, and art style really appeal to me. I can see myself spending a bunch of hours in this game if it’s priced right.

Street Fighter 2

Street Fighter 2 is my all time favorite fighting game, but I won’t go past a certain price for it. $20 is probably my maximum here.

My Wishlist

A New Metroid Game

It’s been 7 years… 7 long years since we’ve gotten a new Metroid game and it’s time Nintendo. It’s time to give us all what we’ve been patiently waiting for. I think the next Metroid game should go back to it’s roots. Bring back that Metroidvania style that we all fell in love with back in the day. I’m not against another game like Metroid Prime, but I would prefer the classic style. Just please don’t give us that shit you called Metroid on the 3DS. I refuse to call that a Metroid game.

Pokemon Stars (or whatever the hell you’re going to call it.)

Pokemon was also missing from the big Nintendo Switch reveal. I really wanted to see something on it, but didn’t get it. It’s either happening or it’s not. I consider the Switch a handheld that can be used on your TV instead of a console to compete with the Xbox and Playstation. Make my dreams come true and give us a core Pokemon game that can be played on our TV.

More Games From Bethesda

I was excited when Bethesda announced their support for the Switch, but I’ll be honest. I won’t be buying Skyrim for it. At least not right away because I’ve already played it to death and have the best version on the PC. I would have loved if they would have announced Fallout 4 or Doom on it. That would show people that you’re serious about supporting the platform instead of 6 year old Skyrim…

Madden… Please

I need some Madden in my life. Not Fifa or NBA 2K18. Madden! I’m a football nut and I haven’t played Madden in years because I won’t buy a Xbox or Playstation. Make it happen EA.

A New F-Zero Game

That small clip that we saw near the end of Nintendo’s conference looked like F-Zero to me. If it’s true I’m going to be very happy. If it’s not I’m going to be heartbroken. How about reviving this franchise Nintendo? Many people want it to comeback along with some of your other ignored IPs.

That’s my list of games that I want for the Nintendo Switch so far. I’m surprised the list is that big. What are some games you’re looking forward to on the Switch?

This was all I could think of at the moment. I’ll most likely make the list longer as I come up with more games or just make another article depending on how many games I find for the Switch that I want or games that I want made for the Switch.

I’m pleasantly surprised with what they showed us, and gladly preordered! Of course, it’d always be nice if they showed more, but I think they wanted to focus on what was definitely coming out this year. I guess it’s not much at the moment, but perhaps we’ll see more at E3 or through other Directs. What they showed was good for me, and it’s great that you’re excited too! Here’s to March 3!

I think we’re going to get some more around E3. I hope we do at least, but I was really impressed with all of the RPGs that were announced. I’m still hoping we get a Pokemon announcement this year.

Mario Odyssey Impressed me big time. Looking forward to Fire Emblem Warriors as well (big musou fan over here).

I’m a huge Musou fan too :). A Fire Emblem game that plays like Dynasty Warriors sounds like my kind of game.

Has Been Heroes was confirmed at $20 and will be published physically as a GameStop exclusive. I liked what I saw of it during the Treehouse stream and I can see me playing it casually before bed, for sure.

I want a new Metroid more than anything. A good one. Not a spin-off, not one handed out to another developer, but a real, honest to goodness Metroid.

Nintendo doesn’t drop the price for anything. That’s just how they work. I’m 100% confident that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (along with the inevitable Smash port) will release at $60 and remain there throughout the Switch’s lifespan. Mario Kart 8 is still $60 on Wii U, for instance. It sucks, but it’s yet to change over the years.

I’m really stoked about all of the RPGs, which was nice to see. Especially considering the Wii U only had 2 of them, which didn’t release until the end of its life cycle. Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild blew me away with their new trailers, and, oddly enough, Snipperclips looks really damn fun after watching some gameplay. Arms is getting a ton of positive feedback from people playing it at the Switch event, but it doesn’t seem like something I’d pay $60 for.

I also think it would have been smart for them to just bite the bullet and bundle in 1, 2, Switch with the console. There’s no way consumers are going to swallow $60 for a disc full of micro-games.

Arms isn’t my style of game, but I can see myself picking it up for $10 max. You’re right about Nintendo never dropping their prices. I’ll eventually buy Mario Kart after I get everything else I want first. I’m not against playing Super Smash on the Switch :).

You’re absolutely right about 1,2 Switch. It’s a $10 title at most for me. No way I’ll be getting that instead of Zelda on release day.

The RPGs are look so good dude. Square Enix is bringing some fantastic looking games to the Switch. Can’t wait for all four Dragon Quest games lol. And I really want to see what the next Shin Megami Tensei game looks like in Unreal Engine 4.

      Snipperclips did look like fun.

Even if they don’t localize Dragon Quest X, I will happily buy the Japanese version and fumble my way through it lol. It’s Dragon Quest. I need it.

Same here. It won’t be too hard for me since I can read a little Japanese :).

I’d be relying heavily on FAQs and translations online, haha.

LOL. I’m not fluent in the language, but I know my way around menus and stuff like that. When it comes to dialogue I need some help.

Project Octopath is made by the team who make Bravely Default so I am interested in it. The Switch online system deal is a joke though. Pay to play online and the free game is a NES/SNES title that you only keep for a month? Ouch.

I’m very interested in Project Octopath. It even has a weird name so it must be good :).

I agree about the Switch online features. I doubt many people are going to use it unless they drastically change it before it’s released.

Nice list! I have pre-ordered basically every last damn thing I was even remotely interested in all the way though Christmas, most of which are on this list already.

I forgot about Dragon Quest Heroes, though – I had a game called Rocket Slime on the Nintendo DS many years ago – is that kind of what these games are like? Action RPG type of games?

As a side note, I’m also on the Metroid hype train. This _has_ to be it. They have got to make another Prime game.

Dragon Quest Heroes is like Dynasty Warriors with light RPG elements. It’s made by the same developers and this is actually one of their best games. It’s worth checking out in my opinion.

It’s been a long time since we’ve had a good Metroid game. I would prefer the classic style of Metroid, but I’m definitely not against another Metroid Prime. I’ll settle for a remake at this point. Give us something :).

Thanks for the comment and the follow :). I appreciate it.

Well my ultimate dream for the Switch would be a new 3D Metroid game and a remake of Super Metroid in 2D with 2017 graphics BUT I am trying to be realistic!

Either way, Reggie has made some pretty subtle hints about keeping their ear to the flood so I’m hoping for the best.
