People Need To Calm Down About Street Fighter V’s “Censorship”

Spread the Word!

I’ve done some research about the so called censorship of Street Fighter V and I’m a little confused. What was censored exactly?

I’m going to be really blunt in this article and it might rub some people the wrong the way. I don’t care, but that’s your disclaimer so take it however you want.

Virgins everywhere are complaining that a ass slap was removed from Street Fighter V along with some other, minor, content. Cammy’s look along with her crotch shot was altered, and R.Mika’s ass slap was removed… well she still does it, but it’s off screen.

If Street Fighter V was truly being censored to please the vocal minority of feminist out there we won’t have characters that looks like this –

If this game was being censored we wouldn’t get all that ass hanging out of that costume that she’s wearing. She would be covered up with something else. They removed her ass slap, but there’s a chance that it’ll be added back in before release. People need to calm down and show some patience to Capcom.

Street Fighter has always had women in skimpy outfits beating the crap out of each other. This one will be no different. Have you seen Chun Li? This game is not being censored. I think Capcom made a mistake by making this game a beta because people are going to bitch about it no matter what happens. If they added a nude outfit people would complain. If they covered females up once again people are going to complain.

Just let them make their damn game and get over it. This is not censorship. The game hasn’t released yet and won’t release for quite awhile. Some of the changes made are questionable. I honestly like the way Cammy looked before they changed her, but I haven’t really seen much of the new Cammy yet so I can’t judge her to harshly yet. Capcom is taking a more anime approach with this title and they’re trying something new. It remains to be seen if it’ll be a success, but I’m willing to give it a shot because Street Fighter has always been one of my favorite fighting games to play. I’m not going to let the removal of an ass slap stop me from enjoying this game.

I think people are touchy about any changes like this because a lot of games are getting censored at the moment. Some niche games are also not getting localized because publishers are worried about bad PR eye candy gets.

I understand that, but that’s not happening here. I think Capcom is just making some changes on their own. I doubt they’re worried about what feminist will think of their game. If they were all the females would be covered up imo.
