Console wars have been going on since the Nintendo vs Sega days. So it comes as no surprise that Microsoft and Sony are trying to win more people to their sides. But which console is actually better? Or I should I say which console are we most interested in? First things first the console war has been reset because we’re in a new generation of consoles. Why is it reset you ask? It’s reset because none of the next gen consoles are backwards compatible. It’s also because many fans of both sides loyalty have switched sides. People that were loyal to the Xbox have went over to the Playstation 4 and vice versa. Also since we’re buying a new console that means we’ll have to start off at square one once again.
It only makes sense that this “war” between the two powerhouses start off on equal ground. Lets talk about the Xbox One. When the 360 first came out people questioned it’s hardware because of the red ring. While I do believe the problem with the red ring has been fixed that doesn’t change the fact that it happened and if i’m going to purchase a Xbox One then i’ll need to consider the fact that it could have some console breaking bugs.
The Playstation 3 on the other hand has been hacked more times than I can count. The entire Playstation Network was down for a little because people kept hacking into Sony’s security and lets face it. If you have your credit card information installed on your system then you should be worried and rightfully so. The security issues with Sony is something that really worries me and that’s why any potential customers for the Playstation 4 has to take into consideration that their information might not be safe.
I would take the red ring any day over my personal information being hacked into and stolen. With all of this on consumers mind it’s only natural for us to seek a different brand and switch loyalties. Fans of the 360 are tired of the red ring and fans of the Playstation 3 have probably had their account hacked into and stolen. Both are bad and should be taken into consideration.
Now lets talk about the Xbox One’s and Playstion 4’s exclusives. The Xbox One has 13 exclusive titles that’s been announced while the Playstation 4 only has 5. From what i’ve personally seen of the Playstation 4 most of their titles are indie. I don’t have anything against indie games but where are the big titles. I’m personally not interested in most of the games they’ve announced so far and the games I am interested in are coming out for both consoles.
I am however interested in a few of the exclusives the Xbox One has coming. If you’ve read my Killer Instinct article then you would know how excited I am about it. I haven’t made up my mind about which console I want but I am leaning more towards the Xbox One then the Playstation 4 because I think they have the better games coming to their console. I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you did i’ll have more for you real soon.

Sep 14, 2013 11:14 amI don’t think that’s correct. Ps4 had a wide range of exclusives, 21 games i think that won’t be available on Xbox. Xbox has 14. While myself, my preference is PS4 simply because I’ve always been more attracted to their gaming line ups.

Sep 14, 2013 11:22 amMost of the PS4 exclusives are already available on PC. That’s why I said that. Planetside 2, Warframe. I play them now on the PC. Xbox One has actual exclusives and in my opinion I’m more interested in theirs. The Wii U is getting some good games too :]

Sep 14, 2013 11:45 amyes but the games you’ve just mentioned were never going to be exclusive to Playstation. Those are all multi-platform releases and or timed exclusives which i don’t count then as exclusives.

Sep 14, 2013 12:04 pmActually the Xbox One isn’t getting any of those so you kind of have to count them since Sony said they were exclusives

Sep 14, 2013 12:13 pmbut the PC still got them dude. Even at E3 outlast for example was announced for PS4 and PC. My point being that those games were never just for Sony they were exclusive for Sony and PC.

Sep 14, 2013 12:59 pmI know, but Sony actually has all those games I mentioned on their exclusives list. I just don’t think they should be there. I’ll most likely end up getting a PS4 too. I’m just getting the Xbox One, and Wii U first. I’m no rush because I have a kickass rig that can play anything :]

Apr 10, 2014 1:25 amI’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you’ve hit
the nail on the head. The issue is something which too
few people are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy I found this during my hunt for something regarding this.
