We all have games that we just find a way back to. Warframe is one of those games for me and for the last week or so I’ve been absorbed into this game all over again… and I love it. It’s also the very first game I’ve put 1,000 hours into!
My wife and I have really gotten back into Warframe. I don’t know what gave me the urge to jump back in it so hard, but I did and I’m really enjoying myself. I didn’t even have to learn how to play again. It’s like my skills never left. I immediately chose one of my favorite Warframes (Nova Prime) and did a random mission. From there, I was hooked. I glanced over all of the new Warframes that were added since I last played, got a bunch of gear I never finished leveling up to level 30, and increased my mastery rank.
I even did a quest (that took me almost 20 hours) about collecting different types of flowers that are found on different planets in the solar system. It was cool, but a little annoying too because I was ready to quit and move on to something else. I did (finally) finish building Titania and she’s better be worth the trouble I went through. The next quest I have lined up will probably be The War Within, but first I have to guide my wife through the rest of The Hidden Grove (flower quest) questline and go through that entire headache again.
Once I realized I was interested in playing Warframe longterm I went ahead and joined a clan. It’s not a very big clan and (so far at least) it’s filled with nice people. We chat, laugh, and ran some missions together. We helped some lower rank players get some hard to get items and called it a day. We even ran the big event that popped up yesterday in under an hour.
As I type this I’m watching the 3 day timer slowly countdown to my brand new Titania. I’m not just going to sit around and watch that timer from my phone though. I’m going to finish building my Chroma (or I might just farm for Chroma Prime), complete some more quest, and make some platinum by selling some prime gear I have. I might even give those open world zones a shot while I’m at it. I have plenty to catch up on and I can’t wait to see what new adventures lie in wait for me in this game. Warframe is the very first game I’ve sunk 1,000 hours into across two platforms. I don’t know how long I’ll play this time, but one thing I do know is I’ll enjoy every minute of the time I’m investing in this game now.
