Ryse Son Of Rome is a gorgeous game. I think it’s the best looking game out on either console right now. Ryse starts off in the middle of a huge war between the Roman Army, and the savage Barbarians. In the first five minutes of the game you’re immediately thrust into battle. The tutorial is very short and I really liked that. I’m playing Ryse on the hard difficulty setting [I don’t remember what the difficulty is called] and the game is actually pretty easy. The only time the game presents a real challenge is when i’m surrounded by different types of enemies. I like how you have to take a different approach with each enemy type. When you’re fighting someone that has a shield you’ll have to do a heavy attack with your shield before you can actually damage them. When you’re fighting a dual wielding enemy you’ll have to constantly block and dodge their attacks until you see an opening.
The archers will constantly fire at you even if that means hitting their own allies. I love the cutscenes, and voice acting in this game. The cutscenes are top notch. There is a lot happening in the background and the graphics are beautiful. The cutscenes are excellent even if the story is weak so far. It’s not a bad story by any means but it’s also not going to blow you away either. The combat on the other hand is great. I’m having a ton of fun playing this game and that’s what’s counts. This is an action game and everything from the smooth controls to the gory deaths you give countless barbarians is fantastic.
My official review of Ryse will be up in a few more days. Don’t forget to click on that Follow Us button for the latest sports, games, movies, and more. I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you did i’ll have more for you real soon.
