South Park- The Stick Of Truth First Impressions

Spread the Word!

Before I start talking about this game let it be known that I’m not a South Park fan. I’ve only seen 3 or 4 episodes South Park in my life.

South Park- The Stick Of Truth is actually a pretty good game. I thought I was walking into another bad movie/tv show based game but this game surprised me. It’s a good quality game that actually uses the voice actors from South Park in the game. This game is vulgar, funny, and some times disgusting but that oddly just adds to the charm. I spent the majority of the time laughing really hard at everything in the game. The last time that happened I was playing Borderlands 2 for the first time listening to Handsome Jack. So far I’m not very far in the game. Since I learned how to fart on things I’ve just been running around South Park passing gas on everything, and everyone.

South_Park_-_The_Stick_of_Truth_Screenshot_3The gameplay in this game is old school but it works. One thing I can say though is that the game is very easy so far and I’m playing on hard mode right now. The animations are nice and the game looks just like South Park. A useful way to start off a fight is by throwing your dooky in someone’s mouth. It actually does a decent amount of damage over time and not to mention you’ll probably be rolling on the floor laughing while the kids on the screen puke their poor brains out. There are four character classes in the game. You have your basic warrior, mage, and rogue classes joined by a new Jew class. For some odd reason I laughed really hard at the name of that class but it’s actually a really good class to play as.

So far I’m really enjoying South Park Stick Of Truth and I can’t wait to jump back in and start farting on people again. Don’t forget to click on that Follow Us button for the latest sports, games, movies, and more. I hope you enjoyed reading this and if you did I’ll have more for you real soon.

It’s pretty fun and actually somewhat challenging. The only problem I have with it is that I think the fighting is a bit boring, even though I can clearly see the Final Fantasy-influences around and about. Either way, better game than anything that’s ever been made before about South Park.

Definitely agree with you there. I would have preferred more control in the battle system but I can force my way through that just to hear what Cartman has to say next :]

I played this briefly the other day. The game play is nothing special, but the comedy is hilarious.

You’re right about the gameplay. I think I would have preferred a Castle Crashers type of gameplay but that’s just me.
