Adventures of Playthroughs Pokemon 4

The Adventures of Pokemon Revolution Online – League Champion, A New Region, And Grinding For A Parasect

Spread the Word!

I’ve put close to 100 hours in Pokemon Revolution Online. It’s a great Pokemon game that lets us play in multiple regions. That’s something that hasn’t been done since Pokemon Gold/Silver way back in the day.

Before I talk about my current adventures of PRO (Pokemon Revolution Online) I’m going to catch you up on my adventures so far. I’m the Kanto league champion. I went through the elite four with a team of 6 Pokemon and unlocked access to the next region over. The team I won my first championship with were under-leveled, but I still managed to win a tough final battle.

Here’s my team

Charizard (my starter) – 71

Rydon – 71

Azumarill (with huge power) – 71

Scizor – 71

Dragonite – 73

Gengar – 71

Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring my team with me to Johto. This game forces you to choose a new starter when you enter a new region and catch new Pokemon. That means I can’t use any of my previously caught Pokemon from the Kanto region until I make it to the Pokemon League again. It’s a neat mechanic and I do like my new party so far. It’s not a permanent lineup like the one above, but it’s a good start. I have 2 badges and my second Pokemon team consist of

Bayleaf (Why did I choose this starter) 23

Crobat – 29

Quagsire – 31

Flaafy – 22

Parasect – 23 (Might get rid of Bayleaf for this one).

The only locks in my party are Crobat and Quagsire. Everyone else can go for all I care and that includes my starting Pokemon. Bayleaf is a horrible Pokemon and I have no idea why I decided to choose Chikorita as my next starting Pokemon when it struggles to beat anything in the game.  Its pure grass typing hurts it against poison Pokemon and at least Parasect is a bug type and gets access to some great moves like spore.

In order for me to win my 3rd badge, I had to complete a pretty annoying quest that had me grind Paras up from level 6 to 23 so I could put a security guard to sleep and see what he was hiding in the basement. It turns out that Team Rocket was paying the guard to keep people out while they stole Pokemon and hid them in crates. I thwarted their plans, defeated their leader (with Parasect) and turned in my quest to the officer that gave it to me so I could fight Whitney for my 3rd badge. It was a long quest that took me a few days to complete because I didn’t want to grind a Pokemon up to learn sleep powder or spore. I went with Paras because of its dual typing and I’m seriously considering it over Bayleaf since I know Meganium doesn’t get much better and it never gets a second type. I also want to get rid of Flaafy, but there are no other decent electric Pokemon around my area so I might just stick with it for now until I make further in the game. Ampharos isn’t bad, but the nature of this Flaafy isn’t good at all and I would rather just train something else entirely to prevent future headaches from occurring to me from losing battles with this thing.

Pokemon Revolution Online is great. I love how much there is to do in this game and the fact that there are multiple regions to explore has me really excited to keep going. Before I go up against Whitney I want to train Machop into Machoke so it could help me out against that op as fuck Miltank that she has in her party. I would rather not lose when going up against her and having a Machoke will help make sure that doesn’t happen. My party isn’t that great right now too and I need to level everyone up a bit more before walking into that gym.

And that wraps up my adventure in Pokemon. I don’t know how many of these I’m going to write, but I had fun with this one.

PRO is amazing. If you ever get around to downloading it play on the Red server. It’s the most populated and I can help you out once you win 4 badges :). You’re not allowed to trade without 4 badges :(…

It’s really good. It’s not as complete as the core Pokemon games are (some moves don’t have animations yet), but I’ve always wanted to play a Pokemon game that let me travel to multiple regions. It’s a dream come true in way :).
