Top 10 Worst Games of 2015

Spread the Word!

I’m still in the process of writing my top 10 best games of 2015 so I decided to share my worst list with everyone.

This year has been filled with really great games, but I’ve played some games that not only frustrated me, but were also broken pieces of trash that should have never been released to the public. These are my top 10 worst games of 2015.

10. Star Wars Battlefront

battlefront-tips-guide

This game made the list simply because DICE fucked it up. This game is just Battlefield with a Star Wars skin and while it is fun it’s a far cry from what Battlefront should have been. There’s still time for it to get better and I expect it to in the months to come, but as of right now it’s one of the worst games I’ve played all year.

9. Rise of Incarnates

roi_cover_OG

This game was so bad Namco Bandai took it off the market after a few months of it’s release. It did nothing to impress, or bring in hardcore fighting game fans and that’s a big reason why it failed. Will someone just bring Soul Caliber to PC and make a lot of people really happy already?

8. Skyshine’s Bedlam

skyshine_bedlam_1080

This game got it’s inspiration from The Banner Saga, and Xcom, but failed to be half as interesting as either of those great games. Instead what we got was some half assed Xcom styled gameplay that worked against the player and a really weak story that I’m having a hard time trying to remember. Just buy The Banner Saga. That game is so much better then this one.

7. Hard West756779c7bb3083cf9327c710844f98c5_original

This is another game that was influenced by Xcom, but failed to impress me. The gameplay is a step up from Skyshine’s Bedlam, but the game itself isn’t very good in my opinion. The story is also really weak in this game and it would have been better off without one.

6. Magic Duels OriginsMagic-Duels-Origins

I love Magic The Gathering to death. I have a big collection of cards and I own every game in the franchise. That being said Magic Duels Origins is a terrible Magic game. It’s missing features that were in previous games and it’s pay to win. Once you restrict the players ability to earn cards in a card game you know you’re doing something wrong. This is two years in a row that we’ve had bad Magic games and I’m starting to worry about the future of this franchise.

5. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing IIIVan-Helsing-III-Cover-Art-FullSize

This was yet another game released by Neocore games that was filled with bugs on release. It’s like they don’t learn their lessons from previous games or they simply didn’t care. Van Helsing III was more then an incomplete game though. It literally changed everything that was so great about the first two games and they expected us to live with it. This is one game I would recommend every aRPG fan avoid like the plague.

4. Elite Dangerouselite-dangerous-scifi-mmo-games-screenshot-6

My brief time spent in Elite Dangerous was enough to make me avoid this game for the rest of my life. Don’t even get me started on how greedy I think the developers are for pricing their half assed expansion at $60. If you like doing absolutely nothing for an extended amount of time you might like this game. For everyone else on the other hand… look somewhere else.

3. HatredHatred_brutal_3

Hatred is a dreadful game. The developers tried to sell this game off of all the negative hype it was receiving from the media, but it, thankfully, didn’t work. This game is boring, lacks imagination, and makes no damn sense at all. I think of 100 better games for you to waste your time on. Do not buy this game. You’ll regret it.

2. EvolveEvolve-_Goliath

Evolve would have been the worst game of the year if I didn’t play number 1 a few months ago. The player base is about extinct in this game because of the DLC practices that went on with it. This game has well over $100 of DLC and most of it is really stupid. Most multiplayer games are doomed to failure, but this one made it easy on itself.

  1. Paranautical Activitypa

This is probably the worst game I’ve ever played in my life. If it’s not then it’s up there with them. Nothing in this game works and I can’t find a single thing to praise about it. Everything about it sucks and I hope we never see another game like it ever again.

And that wraps up my top 10 worst games of 2015. Thankfully there were many more great games to play this year then bad ones and I didn’t have to resort to pulling my hair out to get this list done.

Here are some honorable mentions

Nightbanes

Mordheim City of The Damned

Now that you mention it, I remember that I was really hyped about Rise Of The Incarnates but then I just forgot about it. Now I understand why I forgot it.

Lol. Rise of Incarnates didn’t last long at all. It wasn’t marketed, had a really low player base, and wasn’t very interesting to be honest.

I was hyped about it because it was being made by Namco Bandai for PC. A fighting game by Namco Bandai for PC!! How can you not get hyped about this !!??? Alas, it turned out to be nothing but hot shit.

I was originally hyped for it too, but… it, obviously, didn’t live up to expectations.

Over $100 worth of DLC? Man, how greedy can you get. I am glad the game flopped.

Star Wars looks great and sounds great, but it kind of ends there. It just isn’t that fun. I got bored of it very quickly and wish I didn’t buy it.

However, I love Elite Dangerous, but each to their own I guess.

Elite Dangerous is like a do nothing simulator :]. It’s definitely the most boring game I’ve played all year long.

I agree, and disagree with Star Wars. I think it’s fun, but lacking content and hopefully it’ll get a lot better next year.

I’m completely understand why some people just won’t like elite. But I’ve had a lot of fun on it and working with one of the player corps has been a lot of fun too.

You sound like my friend :]. I’m glad you like the game, but I never will. The $60 “expansion” is enough to sway most people away from this game.

I think the devs are greedy and should have priced it right. There’s no reason why an expansion should be priced at $60. The game itself isn’t worth that much in my opinion.
