Nintendo Switch PC Top Ten Worst Games 10

Top 10 Worst Games of 2017

Spread the Word!

I didn’t play many bad games this year. I’ve played some average ones, but not many games that I would consider terrible. Here are the worst games of 2017!

10. Total War: Warhammer II

Warhammer II feels like Warhammer 1.5. There’s not that many new factions and Creative Assembly are planning on merging part 1 with 2. This just reinforced my opinion that this game should have been an expansion instead of a $60 standalone game. The game itself isn’t horrible, but it is one of my least favorite Total War games.

9. Power Rangers Mega Battle

Mega Battle is a side scrolling beat em up… and it’s horrible. There is no reason for anyone to go out of their way to buy this turd. Save your money and buy something else.

8. Doom (Switch)

The Switch version of Doom is the worst version of Doom by far. Doom is a fast paced shooter and I can’t stomach playing it at 30 FPS on the Switch. Add in the crappy performance and you’ve got yourself a mess of a game. I like Doom too. I originally played it on the PC and I enjoyed it. This version leaves much to be desired.

7. Puyo Puyo Tetris

I tried my best to get into this game. Everyone I know likes it and I’ve spent many hours trying to force myself to like this game. I’ve never liked Tetris and Puyo Puyo is… there I guess. This is one of the worst games on the Switch in my opinion and not worth $30.

6. NieR Automata

Where do I start with this game? It’s been praised for its great cast of characters and fantastic story. It’s been called one of the best games ever made and people really, really love it. I feel like I played a different game because I didn’t experience any of that. The characters are dull, the story is complete shit, and the open world is one of the worst designed worlds I’ve ever played in my life. The gameplay is good and the soundtrack is fantastic, but when i think of this game I just remember being frustrated with it and wanting it to end. This game was a chore to play and I don’t think I want to experience it again.

5. Friday the 13th

I had a hard time coming with anything positive to say about this game. That’s when I knew it would make this list. Friday the 13th is clunky, boring, and repetitive. You run and hide from Jason until he finds and murders you. Playing as Jason isn’t fun and playing as one of the stupid teenagers isn’t either. This game is just stupid and I hope it’s last we see of it.

4. Players Unknown Battlegrounds

Why is this game so popular? How is it selling like crazy? The game I played, and refunded, is boring, clunky, and isn’t anything I haven’t played before. I don’t get the hype for this game at all. It’s average at best and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know. How did an early access game get nominated for game of the year anyway? A game more deserving should have taken its place… like Divinity: Original Sin 2.

3. Porno Studio Tycoon

A game about running your own porn studio is number 3 on my list. I never took this game seriously. I am a fan of Tycoon games and thought this one would be interesting to play since it’s about the porn industry and I’m not sure if that’s ever been done before. I bought it, hated it, and refunded it an hour later. It’s confusing, stupid, and just not fun to play.

2. Portal Knights

Portal Knights came out of early access this year and it’s horrible. This is another game that I refunded in under 2 hours because of the Steam refund policy. It feels like a Minecraft clone and plays like shit. My wife enjoyed it and was disappointed when I refunded it, but I didn’t want this game tainting my Steam library.

1. Has-Been Heroes

Has-Been Heroes should have been a really fun game. The RNG ruined it for me. The RNG is the reason why this game is hard and it is the worst game on the Switch by far. The gameplay is nice, but I couldn’t sit through another round of this game because I knew no matter what I did I wouldn’t win in the end. If RNGjesus doesn’t want you to win you won’t.

That wraps up my top 10 worst games of 2017. What are some of the worst games you’ve played this year?

Has-been Heroes is definitely my least favorite game I played in all of 2017, closely followed by Snake Pass. Your choice of featured image, though, breaks my heart!

I’ll admit that I did that to get your attention lol :). Has-been Heroes could have been a good game if it didn’t rely on RNG so much. I don’t understand how people have completed this game. I’m not patient enough to lose my first 100 runs before I win 1 time.

Interesting list. I’ve played Doom on PC and took a look at the Switch version since I did enjoy the pc one. Glad to hear my pass on the Switch version is likely justified.

If you have the PC version you don’t need another version imo. The Switch version of Doom runs like crap and I don’t think you, or anyone that’s previously played it, will enjoy it.

I’ve been thinking of buying Puyo Puyo Tetris just for Tetris. I didn’t like the Puyo Puyo part either.

My kids love the Puyo part of the game and hate Tetris. I guess the new generation of kids love Puyo while us old timers like Tetris :).

I couldn’t get into it at all. I was hoping that buying the full version might help, and even if it didn’t, I’d still at least have Tetris.

    Dat #3 game tho.

Has-Been Heroes was okay for me – not the worst, far from the best. But I didn’t hate it, I guess. Puyo Puyo Tetris on the other hand was such a fun game for me. But I also love Puyo Puyo, even more than Tetris actually. And if you don’t like either game, then…man, props to you for trying to force yourself to play it! I haven’t played most of the other games, but shame the Doom port on Switch didn’t live up.

I’ve played some horrible games this year. I think Booty Diver was by far the worst. The game itself was already bad, then it glitched on me before I could beat it ugh. Scratch that, Sky Ride is perhaps even worse. There are almost no redeemable qualities for that game. Oh wait, Flip Wars was such a nothing game. And I couldn’t possibly forget about Tower of Babel, a lame auto-runner. And Boost Beast. Excuse while I curl up in a fetal position for remembering I’ve played so many horrid games this year.

Lol! Well… my number 3 sounds as bad as Booty Diver. You don’t want to know what went through my head when I read that :-). It sounds like you played some horrible games this year.

Booty Diver is about scuba diving. (OF COURSE!) But the creators don’t want you to think that. They want to rope you in. Don’t get roped in. 😉
